    This is totally something I would've geeked out over as a kid going to Disney World, but alas, they didn't really have anything like this.

    Apparently these are a relic of the '90s, used as standees in the queue of "Here Come the Muppets".

    As for the second half of the video, I can see why Jim didn't want them as walk-around characters.

    Cool video! Thanks for sharing.

    It's so odd that it was so hard to adapt the puppets into accurate costume likenesses. A two-dimensional cartoon character like Mickey Mouse could get turned into a three-dimensional costume and look great. But somehow, the Muppets (who already existed in 3 dimensions) looked terrible when transformed into costumes.

    I suppose it's just as well that modern appearances of the characters in the parks (for parades and for the "Great Moments in American History" show) are just simply done with actual puppets instead!
