Favorite Fraggle?

Hey everyone, I'm a newbie here but I'm a life-long Fraggle Rock fan. I watched it as a kid and I think it really influenced me growing up, not to sound corny :p

Anyway, who is everyone's favorite fraggle? Whether of the five or not, or even the favorite character from the show? I'm curious why people liked a certain one of the five over others :D

Growing up, I liked Red best, probably because of the pigtails, I liked Gobo a lot too. I still do, he's probably my second fav but now my absolute favorite is Wembley. He's so adorable and sweet, he makes you want to cuddle him. I'm a sucker for the underdog anyway and his innocence and positive views on things (not to mention his little squeaks and boinks, LOL).

Red :). Growing up I was actually more of a Junior Gorg fan than a fraggle fan now that I think of it (maybe I did see it when I was a baby and learned calling my mom Ma and my daddy Daddy from him, who knows, my parents sure don't).
But now..Red no question, the funny loving in your face, go getting, tell it like it is fraggle :D! I always saw her as the main fraggle more so than Gobo *lol*
I have more fandom for Mokey than I ever had just because I know her now. In a way I guess you could call me a Red tempered Mokey :3.
Of the boys, Boober no question, he is sooo lovable in his cute little serious way to make sure everyone is safe, how he talks, and his size *squeals and hugs*

Gillis aka the Maestro is my favorite Fraggle, and I'm not just saying that because he was one of Richard's characters or because he's my roomie in the Dorms game.

If anything, playing Gillis in the Dorms game has increased my affection and appreciation for his character. I like exploring and expanding upon little facets of his personality, the little glimpses we got to see in the TV series.

Definitely Boober, his hilarious grumpiness was always a pleasure. : D

I just want to give Boober a hug and let him do my laundry. Wouldn't we all? :coy:

Well, I guess the fact I can't decide makes me more Wembley. :D

The problem is that my personality is so broad all the five can fit comfortably inside my head. Like Redsonga, though, I tend to be a Red-tempered Mokey. I'm far more aggressive than Mokey is, but I'm more into writing and such and not so much into sports. As I get older, I'm beginning to relate more and more with Matt. :)

Gobo ~ He was my favorite as growing up and I still like him today.

Red ~ Is my second favorite. She just looks like a fun Fraggle to hang out with.

Mokey ~ Mokey and I do have same interest.

Wembley and Boober ~ Adorable, funny, etc...

This sounds corny: As a kid, growing up watching the show. I've always wanted Gobo and Red together. *blush* I hope I'm not the only one that thought of it.

My Wembley doll just arrived today! He's going to sit on top of my old grandma's sewing machine.:coy:

I'll say Red. She's incredibly hilarious and sarcastic, the way she flips out about things is golden.

Boober is probably second, since I'm a bit of a germophobe as well >:p He gets some great lines.

I definitely think Gobo and Red had potential, hehe. :smirk::excited:

I didn't like Gobo as much as a kid because he seemed too perfect. But now I really enjoy his very early episodes where he's still learning to be confident. I can identify with him more now. :)

The funny thing is, he's NOT perfect. He's just more subtle than the others. He tends to hide his faults until he's alone.

Oh yeah definitely, and I think seeing his earlier episodes made that more clear for me. :)

Yeah, one of Gobo's weaknesses is his pride - and I think most of it stems from his insecurities about being able to live up to Traveling Matt.

Let's see, of the Fraggle Five, I'd say Wembley's my favorite, and I also like Red and Gobo. But it's true - Boober gets some of the best lines. Examples:

"Argument, nothing, it's an attempted coup!"
"Yes, but I feel great sympathy. The Grim Reaper comes for us all."

Of the other Fraggles, I like Beige, from "Fraggle Wars," the Storyteller, Gillis, Convincing John and his crew, Cantus and the Minstrels, and even the World's Oldest Fraggle is good for a snicker or two.

Such a tough call as I LOVE nearly every aspect of Fraggle Rock, but I'd have to say that...

Cantus and Boober would have to be my favorites with a side helping of Wembley too.

This is all very enlightening :) It is hard to choose between the five, they have such great dynamic.
Boober is hilarious, definitely. He's such an anti-Fraggle sometimes. :smirk:

Of course, one of my favorite parts of the show is Gobo and Wembley's friendship, the little brother/big brother thing. Sometimes I think Wembley bows down to him too much, but he's Wembley, he's super-agreeable anyway, LOL.

Of the five, I'm more like Mokey, she's the hippie fraggle and I love how she can freak out sometimes but I'm a lot like Wembley too, always agreeing:o

A lot of people call Mokey a hippie but I think that she isn't one deep down. There is some of that there, but she's much more agreeable (Cantus to IMHO). As a whole the hippies were not a happy/peaceful people, for all that history tries to say otherwise (I grew up hearing a lot of stories from my ma's generation, now in their 60's and 70's).
I think Mokey idolizes them, I think she even wishes she was one (in fraggle terms) but I don't think she is. Like I said before I would call her more new age, much more granola and wheat grass than smoke and tye-dye :).

I love Fraggle Rock, loved it since I was in elementary school. It's hard to pick a favorite character, but I love Wembley, Gobo and Red. I also like the trash heap and Philo and Gunge, those two are funny! I loved Cantus, too.

As a kid I loved Red, but now I find her a tiny bit annoying! I guess I must have gotten older and grumpier, 'cause now my favourite is Boober. :)

Red- She's fiesty, but also very innocent and genuine, oh- and cute. :) Secondly, she was my favourite character growing up.

Wembley- Good-natured, easy-going kinda guy. He reminds me of myself though, as I'm very, VERY indecisive.

Mokey- The one I can relate to the most. I have a very simalar personality to her, plus- I like art and writing. ^^

I would call Mokey a hippie; just that she's a better hippie than some of the real life people were, heh. People aren't perfect, but characters can be the ideal we're looking for. :)
