I think Frank was surprised about the reason the interviewer gave, about the confusing kids.

ok, going back to what is needed in Sesame Street today. Here are my two:

1.) More of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwOaSIEWqEo
The spontaneity of these moments are still stuck in our memory. The show was structured but allowing the kids to alter the show really added to the enjoyment.

2.) less of this...Elmo's World..I tried to find a clip of it on you tube but all the ones I found were ripping on it. The essence of the CGI world that is Elmo's World, while modern, doesn't seem appropriate for SS. There is a disconnect there w/ it.

Frank, do you kiss your mother with that mouth?

Yeah, Frank does kind of strike me as being a bit on the strict side. But he's probably not nearly as uptight as Sam the Eagle. (for if he were, he wouldn't be working with the Muppets)

As far as I'm concerned Suffy was always real. It's just the grown-up didn't believe him.

Anyway still nice interview.

I don't agree that Sesame Street has become a kiddy show. And even if it has, it's still better than Dora the Explorar, Barnny the Dinoswar, and stuff like that. Those shows are just unwatchable!
