Frog Style Head

Here is a 2 frog heads I've been working on.
The orange one was suppose to be a Kermit type replica. From the side I think he looks pretty close, but I've had some issues getting his front close. If anyone has any ideas on how to make him or another model closer to Kermit I'd love to here it?

And the green one is just suppose to be a little frog, but I wont be finishing him because I made his head too small. Haha.

    Thanks guys,
    ~Josh

Aw, you gotta finish little frog! If you put his pupils a bit closer together, he'd be a dead ringer for Robin! :)

Great work so far, looking forward to more progress pics!

Thank You! I will finish him, but I could never use him. My hands are much too big. Haha

Hmm, well, maybe for the first ever Robin stuffed animal then? Lol.

    Cheers

Nice job! Even as a work in progress it's pretty good. I guess a suggestion I might offer for the red one is to cut back on his jowls a little. The little guy has a more streamlined face. ^_^ Keep on keepin on!

    Thanks for the ideas guys!
I will try and take back on the jowls. I think when I enlarged the pattern, I must have gone too far on that, cause the red was an enlarged copy of the little green one. Haha.

No problem! Its still a pretty bang up job. Be sure to keep posting pictures as you progress. It's always cool to see the evolution of these projects. Keep it up!

Here's the new head I worked up. I think he is looking really good.
I just need to glue his eyes to the fleece. lol

Looking good man! :) May I ask, what are you using for eyes? I'm (hopefully) going to be making a Kermit soon, and the eyes are proving somewhat hard to find. :p

Cheers! Anxious to see the rest of him...

Oh! This guy looks great! He kinda reminds me of the old Kermit prototypes...which is good. Keep it up. Can't wait to see his evolution.

Here is my finish frog. I think he looks a lot like Kermit from when the Muppet show was on. Minus the eyes and no collar. Haha.
But I think he is looking pretty good. I may add legs later once I can match the fleece color again, I ran out of his material during production and had to improvise on some things.

Ya, but all in all he looks pretty good to me, my best puppet so far!

Love it! Fantastic work. There's something slightly sardonic in his expression. *grins* I dig it!

They really do look great! I actually like the orange one the best. The jowls give him character.

You should totally finish off that little one. He's cute. You could make his entire body the size of your hand.

He is a little Nixon-y. Call him Crook! lol Then keep him.
The little guy is adorable as is.

Haha, I think I will finish the little one and I noticed that they don't use any foam of the body on Robin. So I will probably do the same.

And for the orange one, I started working on him but I ran out of the upholstery foam I was using, so again he is on the back burners.

Thanks for all your comments guys! I really appreciate it!

Looks good! Did you use any kind of pattern for this guy (or, these guys, I guess) or is he just trial and error??
  20. is awesome New Member

I actually used a Kermit pattern that I found on here and tweaked with about 4or 5 different designs so I they would be different.

Here is the pattern I found, hopefully I don't get into trouble posting this. Haha
