Future Muppet Replicas Wishlist

Once I have my Bear and Pig (and maybe my Whatever, thr jury is still out til I see a nose!) I think I'll be done with the replicas - mainly because I'll have nowhere to put any more! I'd consider a chicken too (just cause they wouldn't take up that much space) but in fan terms there's so many I would rather see made first - Statler/Waldorf, Bunsen/Beaker, the Swedish Chef...all of them though would take up just too much space.
  2. I keep worrying about space too but I don't think I could not buy them if the are as good as the Kermit replica. I don't mind being over run with Muppets anyway!

I'd like to see replicas of the Muppet Babies from Muppets Take Manhattan!

I haven;'t been looking into buying any because they cost a lot of money and I have no room.

However, if they made Beaker or Dr. Teeth, I'd make room.

I, too, would buy a Dr. Teeth. Or a Rowlf, or possibly, a Link Hogthrob. I would rob a bank or sell my dogs if necessary.

I think a bunsen and beaker set would be so great, but I dunno if that will happen because they'd really need to be done together. Scooter is one I really want cause I always thought he had a great design and color scheme. A camilla might be cool for Gonzo, but I don't see myself spending too much on one. Perhaps Statler and Waldorf.

I want a Scooter too! We seen him so much on The Muppet Show, I am not suprise they didn't pick him over Rizzo. but that's ok cause I want them all, I am not picky. ;)

Plus Scooter is making a come back. In the last 2 TV movies Scooter was there. With lines no less! Plus he was part of that Muppets TV show in france. Hopefully this is a trend that will continue.

I think Scooter would be totally sweet to have! Along with Rowlf. My friend wants Janice.

Rowlf would be cool. it won't look much like the puppet though as the puppet is a blanket puppet. Rowlf didn't have clearly separate arms like Ernie, Fozzie, and Link. He has arms like Chef where Rowlf really has no shoulders.

Janice would be cool too, and Floyd is visually stunning like Animal. Really all of the Electric Mayhem make for good display pieces. I'd like to see them done in this order Floyd, Janice, Dr. Teeth, and Zoot. I don't expect them all to come out but I think Floyd should be first cause he goes well with Animal and of course Janice goes with Floyd.
  11. The Rowlf would look like the poser Rowlf you see in promotional photos.
I'm not sure there would be many buyers for the likes of Floyd or Janice or even Dr Teeth. MR will probably only make the most popular characters which means Pepe is very likely after Rizzo (as long as they continue to sell well).

I was actually wonder how they'd do Rowlf.

Sorry, just my opinion, but I don't consider Pepe a classic character. Personally, I wouldn't be interested in owning him as a poser.

    :p

I disagree because the people buying these are people who know the characters and the show. Kermit may have been bought by anyone, but the further down the line you get the more hard core fans you have. It's like the action figure line. No one though someone like Lips would sell, but he did and is rare. In fact the EM sold the most I think. Same with he busts. The EM members are hard to come by, actually everyone is hard to come by.

If Floyd and Janice were packed with replica guitars I think they would sell really well, especially as gifts to musicians and such. Plus they just look so awesome and visually appealing.
  15. The Pallisades action figures line was a lot cheaper so they were able to recreate characters that were a little more obscure. I am pretty sure the MR line will not be as in depth as I can't imagine we will be seeing the same amount of full-body posers made as there were action figures.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to see them made (even Pepe at a pinch) but realistically they need to appeal to a larger audience than just the die-hard fans on this forum. I guess we will have to see. Either way, I'll continue buying them as long as I can afford to!
  16. Telly Active Member

I think Pepe would sell cuz he has a lot of general audience fans that aren't really into Muppets.
  17. MWoO Active Member

Well for one I don't see the EM as obscure. if we are talking Marvin Suggs then I agree totally (though he would be neat) but not the EM. When it comes to high end products like this you will always attract the hard core fans. No one who is a casual fan is going to buy a 400 dollar Fozzie poser. It's just not a general public/casual fan product line. Anyone who would buy a 400 dollar Fozzie likely knows the rest of the electric Mayhem well.
  18. True, but I have heard many people in this forum say they would buy Kermit, Piggy, Gonzo and Fozzie but that would be it. How many units would MR expect to sell of Floyd or Janice? Kermit was limited to 2,500 if I'm not mistaken while Animal is limited to 1,500. They must presume they wouldn't sell as many of Animal as they did Kermit. I can't imagine how limited non-well known characters would be.
  19. muppetperson Well-Known Member

I think they have reduced the edition size because Kermit is taking so long to sell.

According to Amy, there isn't too many Kermits left to sell she said. Someone wanted to know how his sale was doing.
