Help Building Snowths

Hi everyone, my son is performing Mahna Mahna for his talent show next month and I'm in need of some advice on building Snowths. I figured out the shape of the head and built one already. Came out pretty good. It's made of foam covered with fleece. The problem is the mouth, it's not very flexible. Anyone knows the structure of the mouth? The originals seem to be very malleable and easy to use. Thanks.

My guess would be it's just fabric with a cup at the top and bottom to move it....

I've tried that but I don't get the same effect. Maybe I built it too rigid. Could it be some sort of spring ring under the mouth?

I wouldn't think it would need one once your hand was inside it? But I've never built one either, so I couldn't say anything for sure....
