Is the twitter website safe?

We all know that Facebook is a bad website and not safe.
But I do wonder if Twitter is a safe website!?

What you guys think?

I have being thinking about be member of that site.

I don't know about the safety record of the site, but I still stand by my opinion that it is THE most POINTLESS thing the internet has ever had to offer: the basic premise of Twitter was already a feature on both MySpace (now My[____]) AND Facebook... and Tumblr's just as pointless, it's basically Twitter for posting images... and now there's another Twitter/Tumblr-esque social networking site out there now called "Pinterest'.

Seriously, once ONE form of a social media site comes out, suddenly there's umpteen rip-offs and copycats that come out afterwards.

Twitter's pretty safe. It is very easy to tell what are spam postings and accounts, as they have tell-tale strange links, awkward punctuation and phrasing, and profile pictures that look very staged and professional.

I don't understand everyone's "safety" concerns about facebook and twitter. No place on the internet where you can potentially reveal personal information is truly safe.

A website is safe as long as you do not put personal information that could be used to track you.

Facebook has privacy options for a reason. Nothing on my facebook page is public.
