Live hand puppets

on a live hand puppet, the gloves are the puppets hands, correct? but when you say "gloves", do you mean like the hands can be taken off and worn with out the puppets body like a real glove, or is it stitched? and also, how do you put one on if the puppet has 4 fingers? :stick_out_tongue:
