Has anyone ever created a good Link HogThrob costume for a Con? I would like to make one. We are fairly talented with sewing machine, so the costume part is easy, but we are having troubles with the head mask. Are there any good commercial masks that would work for Link? Or does someone have plans or suggestions on how to make a muppet-like mask. I promise to post pictures when it is done!

Thanks,

Steve

If you modified the eyes and added the hair, then it'd look somewhat like Link.

OR, you could do a mascot-style head. This page gives details on how to do it via plastic mesh...

Or one via foam blocks.

If you aren't allergic to latex, and are comfortable with the idea of getting kinda messy as you work and have a space with plenty of ventilation, you could go THIS route. Here's a website that sells equipment on making latex masks.

http://www.monstermakers.com/

I actually plan on making a Scooby-Doo mask using the equipment from that site.

BTW, for those who don't know, I am a furry, so costume/fursuit-making is one of my interests :embarrassed:

Oh, I didn't know you were a furry, MD! That's so cool.

Yeah. I've always wanted to be a mascot of some sort, actually. I am hoping to someday get a job as K-O the Kangaroo, the mascot for the Brockton Rox, the local minor-league baseball team in my city.

But I'm not gay, like many furries are. I'm still perfectly straight, or as Homer Simpson would say, "I'm as straight as a one-dollar bill!"
