This is a very important note to all MC members, we are going to be moving our forum to a new server later today (Monday) or at the latest on Tuesday. I don't know exactly when this will happen, but the forum may be down for an extended period of time during this transfer. The site will be on-line as normal. We'll likely be down for several hours during the move getting the forum transferred and running on the new system.

This server move is necessary because for the past couple months we've had a huge amount of growth and need "more room" to continue to grow. In September and October, the site and forum transferred over 40 gig in bandwidth each month. Since the new site design was rolled out we've been getting around 20%-25% more visitors the past three months. After this changeover, the dedicated resources for the site and forum will be larger allowing us to comfortably transfer more than 50 gig a month in bandwidth as needed.

The forum should even be a bit faster after the changeover as there will be more resources dedicated to it. Thanks in advance for your understanding during this much needed transition. The URL's throughout the site will be updated once the move is complete.

Just wanted to give everyone an update on the server move for the forum. This is now planned for Saturday morning. This is typically our slowest time of the week over the weekend. The forum will be down for a little bit during this time, We'll get it back up as soon as possible. Thanks in advance for your patience during this important move.

Our forum server move is now complete. There are still links that need to be updated throughout the MC site and other updates that need to take place, but everyone should be able to post as normal.

If anyone experiences ANY difficulty with ANY areas of the forum (posting, registering, forum e-mails, etc.) please let me know. Even though everything looks the same (except for the URL at the top of the page), the differences behind the scenes are quite significant. The forum and Web site are now on two different systems, giving more resources and bandwidth to both the site and the forum.

All links have been updated. If you have any trouble, please notify Muppet Central staff. There is also an improvement on the hit states of the links. They activate on release of the mouse rather than on press. Many of you won't care, but is was an issue rasied by a member and something we always intended to fix.
