Okay we all know most of the character in Fraggle Rock are good and nice but other are mean.
Then tell us Who you think is the meanest one and say the mean genie or the wizard.(Because we already know about the genie and wizard.)

Well the charter I think is mean iwhich is Traveling Matt's Uncle Gobo.
Because he yells at Young Matt and not being nice to him.

I might say Matt's Uncle Gobo; he really was ridiculously cruel to Matt, lol.
  3. Collgoff Well-Known Member

You can say that again! ( figure of speech!)

Wander McMooch easily. The guy was pure scum, the only complete monster in the Fraggle universe.
  5. Collgoff Well-Known Member

That's true even though he looks like an big ugly toad.

Pa Gorg can be pretty mean. Always insulting Junior and making him do all the work while he takes credit for it. And there were times Pa wanted to kill the Fraggles. Especially when he tried to throw a bomb into Fraggle Rock.

Well it could happen to anyone!

I was going to say Uncle Gobo than I was reminded about McMooch he has to take the cake above all of the meanies but than again you have the Meanie Genie who I thought was quite an evil and cunning character.

But I said not to use that: We know the genie is evil.

Let's see... mean Fraggle characters. There's always Pa Gorg, Uncle Gobo (I agree he's totally cruel), World's Oldest Fraggle (He promises to stop hitting Henchy but then he hits him anway!), Marlon when he tries to catch the Last of The Lily Creatures. Gosh, I always thought everyone was really really nice on this show, I never noticed otherwise.

Did Matt really have an Uncle with the same name as his nephew Gobo?

Wander McMooch is easily the meanest character in the series, because he knew that what he did was vicious and cruel, and he enjoyed harming others. He was a sadist, and he gloried in it.

The genie, on the other hand, changed his ways when Wembley wished that he understood what he was doing. He understood, realized he'd been in the wrong, and felt remorse. He, at least, was redeemable.

Uncle Gobo... I don't like the guy because of how unpleasant he was toward Matt, but I wouldn't put him in the same league as McMooch. He might have backed down if his nastiness toward Matt had had any effect, but it all just seemed to ricochet right off Matt's thick skull. I can see the two heterodyining off each other until it reached the situation we saw.

Pa Gorg, well, I don't see him so much mean as egotistic and thoughtless. He's too self-centered to think much about the critters living in Kissing Rock except as relates to himself, either as subjects or vermin. I'd set him right alongside the Genie: if he ever really came to think of them as people, he might be decent toward them... but how likely is that?

Please pardon my ignorance. I've never seen Fraggle Rock straight through and know nothing at all about Uncle Gobo, but I'll take everybody's word for it LOL

I do well remember the episode in which Wander McMooch tries to cheat Junior Gorg to claim ownership of the castle, so I'll agree with Slackbot about him for the meanest character regarding the official topic of this thread.

McMooch, hands down. He was the only character in Fraggle Rock to have no redeeming features at all. In fact, he was the ONLY character to EVER get a song reveling in his own horribleness.

As Slackbot stated, the genie understood what was wrong with what he was doing after Wembley wished he could and he felt sorry for it.

Uncle Gobo...well, if you had to put up with somebody as thick-headed and inept as Matt on a daily basis, you'd be grumpy, too. :grouchy:

World's Oldest might have had an excuse, depending on how long he had been bonking Henchy, as hard set habits are the most difficult to break.

Marlon...he's a Fraggle, so that has to count for something...I'll get back to you. :sigh:
  15. Collgoff Well-Known Member

yea because Gobo was name after his great uncle.
  16. Collgoff Well-Known Member

Come on I told you not to type about the mean genie

    Meanest Character in Fraggle Rock?
I don't have to wemble about this one. It's Wandering McMooch. Never liked the guy. He's a con artist, a kidnapper, and likes turning innocent creatures into his slaves.
    Dominicboo1 likes this.

Maybe I was harsh on the World's Oldest, but what Marlon wanted to do to the Last of the Lily Creatures does stand out in my mind.

Hmmmm...Tough one. Let me think here....
How about the dude that wanted to pour all of that pollutant into the caves under Doc's home. Haha! I guess he wouldn't count.

I'm going to say Begooni. Sure McMooch was greedy but that's not the same as emotional slavery. I'm going with Begooni...=.= Can't stand the bum!
