    Yeah, I think they're just more used to the newer, politically correct stuff.

    I think it's probably because of all the explosives and physical Comedy gags that happen within the commercials.

    Frankly I see these two as nothing more than one-joke characters, and they sure pull it off well.

    Well, the Muppets have a history of one joke characters somehow becoming popular. I point you to Lew Zealand, Crazy Harry, and The Count.

    And they almost always seem to be Jerry Nelson characters.
