Cold Opening/ Controll Room
Gonzo wants to audition his new act in the studio: Brick Juggling! Of course, he is terrible at it, and the bricks fall through the floor ("the bricks were supposed to land on my feet", moans Gonzo).
Jim Henson's Intro
Jim Henson hopes that everybody enjoys tonights show, and then introduces Kermit the Frog.
Controll Room
Kermit announces that James Taylor is tonights guest star, so the how should be a big hit (and then Digit coems along and hits Kermit really hard).

Waldo thanks Kermit for letting him co-star with James Taylor in the opening number.
Opening Number: "Whenever I See That Smiling Face"
James Taylor sings to Waldo, who has trouble transforming into a smiley face: he turns into an angry face, a frowning face, a tire, a brick, and then, when the song is over, he finally turns into a yellow smiley face.
Electronics Store
Statler and Waldorf are watching the show on a TV at an electronics store.
Waldorf: I wonder why he couldn't make a smiley face untill after the song was over?
Statler: Probably because the song needed to be over in order for anybody to smile.
St. Nowhere
A parody of St. Elsewhere, with Rowlf, Miss Piggy, Janice, Vicki, Scooter, Bean Bunny, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, and Beaker. They work as doctors and nurses at an imaginary hospital. Rowlf is the head doctor and Bean is the patient. Bean is there because he is too cute, and wants to be less cute (Miss Piggy agrees). However, the operation suddenly makes everybody except for Bean less cute.
Controll Room
Kermit get's a message from Zhondra via television monitor: Zhondra has kidnapped james taylor, who is tied up and has a bandana around his mouth. Zhondra won't return james taylor unless Kermit cancels his own show.
Muppet News
the newsman reports that James taylor has been kidnapped, but the he get's attacked, tied up, and kidnapped by Ubu and Chip.
(commercial break)
Controll Room
Kermit, Gonzo, Leon, Vicki, and Bean all try to figure out what to do about the kidnapping. Gonzo suggests that they do a brick juggling act. Everyone looks at Gonzo like he is crazy. Vicki appears on monitor again to show them what is being doen to James taylor: They put James into a cannon and shoot him out of the cannon. They don't know where he is landing.
The Swedish Chef
The Swedish Chef makes a brick sandwhich. It tastes kind of hard.
Controll Room
Kermit asks waldo to try to track down James Taylor. waldo turns into a radar, and reports that james is headded down west. Kermit realizes that the next number is in the west.
Song: Blowin' in the Wind
A group of Pigs and Penguins (all wearing country gear) sing "Blowin' in the Wind" as a windy storm occurs in a dessert. The wind blows the singers, pushing them backwards, forwards, and sideways, and various objects are also blown in, including some rats, a few bricks, Zhondra, a house, some leafs, The swedish Chef's brick sandwhich, a few doozers, and finally, James Taylor (who get's untied).
Controll Room
Kermit, Clifford, and Digit all welcome james taylor back to the show. Kermit tells James that he can sing the closing number from that location.
Closing Number: You've Got a friend
James Taylor sings with the pigs and penguins. Near the end of the song, the scene cuts to the controll room, which is filled with muppets (Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Scooter, Vicki, Leon, Clifford, Digit, Lindberg, Beard, Crazy Harry, Fozzie Bear, Bean Bunny, and Rizzo the rat) singing along.
