here is my fifth outline for the muppet show, which features Dave Thomas (no, not the wendys guy  )as the guest star. this episode takes place in the fifth season. I hope you enjoy it.

Cold Opening/ Lobby
(Dave Thomas enters the theatre)
Pops: Who are you?
Dave Thomas: I'm dave Thomas, tonights guest star.
Pops: Oh, Dave Thomas, you'll enjoy tonights show.
Dave Thomas: Take off, you hoser!

During the Opening
Gonzo is about to blow his horn, but then Lips shows up and tells him that he is the trumpet player on the show, and blows his horn.

Introduction
Kermit The frog announces that tonights guest star is canadian actor Dave Thomas, and introduces the opening number.

Opening Number: What's New, Pussycat?
Rowlf sings the Tom Jones song to Gaffer. He is holding gaffer and is wearing a sparkling gold tux, and is joined by four dogs who sing back-up vocals (and are dressed to match Rowlf).

Balcony
Waldorf: you know something, Statler/
Statler: What?
Waldorf: that singer aint nothing but a hound dog.

Muppet labs
Bunsen tells the audience that beaker is still in the hospital due to last weeks experiment, so Dave Thomas has volunteered to assist Bunsen. Tonights invention is the automatic costume changer. Dave Thomas gets in there and gets dressed in oriental clothing (resembling his Lin Ye tang character from SCTV), then he goes back in and looks like Bob Hope (and does an impression), and gets in there one more time and looks like beaker (he wears the white lab coat, tall orange hair and a false nose that looks like beaker) and even talks like Beaker (although at the end, he says, "mee mee meep mee, eh?")

Balcony
Statler wants to try the machine so that he can turn invisible and leave the theatre.

Number
Miss Piggy does a dance number with Foo Foo, holding foo foo as she dances. However, she dances too fast and accidently throws foo foo off-stage.

Orchestra
Floyd is happy that foo foo got thrown off stage, and so are the other musicians.

Backstage
Miss Piggy is in the next act as well, veterinarians hospital, but doesn't have much time to change. However, she sees Bunsens automatic costume changing machine, and gets in it. However, she gets changed into her pigs in space outfit, then a jungle girl outfit, then in a purple tuxedo, then in janices original outfit, and then finally into her vets hospital outfit. However, Rowlf and Jancie both get into the machine for the next act as well (they were both playing music in the orchestra), but rowlf gets into a police uniform and janice gets into a knights outfit.

Dressing Room
Link Hogthrob goes to Dave Thomas' dressing room for an autograph, but is surprised to learn that he is dave Thomas (He thought he was Roger Ebert).

Veterinarians Hospital
The vets hospital crew is finally in the proper outfits, and foo foo is the patient (because he got hurt, and the scheduled patient called in sick). However, like when Kermit was the patient in the Kenny Rogers episode, Miss Piggy is not amused the the jokes that Dr. Bob and Nurse janice make.

U.K. Spot: One is the Lonliest Number
Janice sings one is the lonliest number, but isn't very lonely.

Backstage
Kermit and Fozzie get into the automatic changing machine for an act they are doing later. However, the machine causes kermit to wear Fozzies hat and scarf, and Fozzie to wear kermits collar.

Muppet News
the newsman goes on-stage wearing a dress, mentioning that while the automatic changing machine does change outfits quick, it often gets the wrong outfits.

Introduction
Uncle deadley introduces the following act.

Music Number: high, middle, low
Kermit, Fozzie and Gonzo sing the song from Sesame Street (I have read that in the sesame street version, Ernie, Bert and Herbert Birdsfoot wore barbershop quartet outfits, so that is how these characters are dressed).

Backstage
Link has to get ready for his next act. He gets in the machine, and he gets changed into his pigs in space uniform, but Pigs in Space is not the next act. he gets changed into his bear on patrol uniform, but Bear on Patrol is not the next act. He then gets changed into the newsmans outfit, then lips' outfit, then Scooters outfit, and finally in the outfit he was supposed to wear, a Santa Clause outfit, but then pops tells him that Links act has been cancled due to the show running long.

Introduction
Zoot: uh, I was asked to, uh... to...
kermit: (peeking from behind the curtain) to introduce the closing number.
Zoot: right, right. to introduce the closing, uh.. uh..
Kermit: oh, never mind, here we are for the closing number.

Closing Number: Oh, Canada
Dave Thomas plays a mountee and he leads the canadian anthem along with Kermit, Fozzie, Miss Piggy, Baskerville, Bunsen, Pops, Crazy Harry, Annie Sue Pig, Sam The eagle, Rizzo, Lips, Mildred, and Gloat, all dressed as mountees. However, dave ends the song with a really high note, causing the scenery (and statler and waldorfs balcony) to fall apart.

Good Night
Kermit closes the show on the set of the closing number. Statler and Waldorf walk on stage announcing that their balcony needs to be repaired, and Beauregard goes to start fixing it. Beaker arrives, being out of the hospital. kemrit says goodnight, and in addition to those that mentioned, they are joined by The Newsman (wearing Pops' Clothes), Pops (wearing the newsmans clothes), Dr. Teeth (wearing lew zelands clothes) and lew zeland (wearing dr. teeths clothes).

After credits
Statler and Waldorf observe their broken balcony.
Statler: well, this show was the pits, eh?
Waldorf: You said it, eh?

In cas you are wondering...

•the four dog back-up singers in the opening number are Muppy, baskerville, the grey dog who played violin in The cat came back (from the Linda Ronstadt episode) and rover Joe. if you are wondering who their performers are supposed to be, they are performed by Dave Goelz (muppy), Steve Whitmire (Rover joe), jerry Nelson (Baskerville) and Richard hunt (other dog).

•all of the musicians who were in the u.k. spots in the episodes with beverly Sills and Roger Moore are in the orchestra after Foo Foo gets thrown off stage (if you don't know, they are Nigel, Floyd, Animal, Janice, Zoot, Lips, Trumpet Girl, and Rowlf).

Another great outline, minor muppetz! Love Foo Foo getting thrown off stage, and the running gag with the automatic costume changer is hysterical! Out of random curiousity, for the "high, middle, low" number, who sings which part?

Yes I can easily imagine them fulfilling those roles in that number perfectly.
Excellent my friend:wink:
