Cold Opening
Scooter: Oh, Zoot Sims! 30 seconds 'till curtain, Mr. Sims!
Zoot Sims: Thank you, Scooter.
Zoot: Hey, Mr. Sims. You know what?
Zoot Sims: What?
Zoot: My name is also Zoot.
Zoot Sims: So?
Introduction
Kermit introduces the opening number.
Opening Number: Blinuete
Zoot Sims plays the sax and is joined by a band of pigs, penguins, chickens, and frogs.
Balcony
Statler: I know what's wrong with our guets star.
Waldorf: What?
Statler: He didn't talk.
Waldorf: No, no, no, that's the good thing about him.
(Statler and Waldorf laugh)
Backstage
Kermit: Scooter, go tell Zoot that his saxaphone solo is on next.
Scooter: Okay. (as Zoot Sims arrives backstage) Zoot, your solo is next.
Zoot Sims: But I just performed.
Kermit: Not that Zoot. The other Zoot.
Scooter: Oh, right. (leaves)
Zoot Sims: So I share a name with one of you Muppets?
Kermit: Uh, yeah. It's not often that a guest star shares a name with one of us Muppets.
Zoot Sims: Well, I am outraged.
Zoot: Okay, I'm ready to perform.
Zoot Sims: Hey, Zoot...
Zoot: Yeah.
Zoot Sims: I challenge you to a saxaphone battle.
Zoot: Uh, okay.
Introduction
Kermit: And now, here is our resident saxaphone player, Zoot, with a solo.
Zoot's solo
Zoot plays a jazzy sax solo, but the rest of the electric mayhem soon join the stage and play, too, making the performance more than a solo.
Balcony
Statler and Waldorf liked it better before the rest of the band joined in.
The Swedish Chef
The Swedish Chef chops vegetables, but for soem reason, every time he chops something, it makes a honking noise, instead of a chopping noise. The Swedish Chef then decides to blow a bugle, and makes a chopping noise.
On-Stage
Zoot Sims asks a group of pigs if they have any suggestions for the next song he should perform. They request The Muppet Show theme, as a sax solo.
UK Spot
The show has been going a bit long, and Kermit and Scooter look at the schedule to see what acts to drop. Kermit decides to drop Sam the Eagle's lecture, causing Sam to discipline Kermit.
Dressing Room
Miss Piggy comes to talk to Zoot Sims, and asks him to play a song for him. Zoot Sims performs Honeysuckle Rose, as Bunsen, Louis Kazagger, Dr. Teeth, Annie Sue Pig, Baskerville, and Droop all come into the rom to watch.
Introduction
Kermit introduces Fozzie Bear.
Fozzie's act
Fozzie has just gotten a package of comedy props delivered to him, so he's goign to provide comedy based on what's in the package, but all that's in there is a peanut.
Muppet News
A police officer has just been arrested for driving past a red light, and the Newsman will be arrested for giving out confidential information.
Introduction
Kermit introduces the closing nubmer, a sax battle between Zoot Sims and Zoot.
Closing Number
Zoot Sims and Zoot keep playing, louder and louder. Zoot ends up winning, blowing Zoot Sims off the stage. When Zot Sims decides to congraduate Zoot, Zoot ends up losing his voice from all that loud playing.
Good Night
Kermit and Zoot Sims are joined by Zoot, Fozzie, Miss Piggy, and Floyd.
