Move over, ALF. Looks like the goofballs up at Henson actually considered making some *good* use of their favorite scapegoat - er, pig puppet:

*According to a former King World executive, who also spoke anonymously, the dispatching of King World programmers is not a surprise, considering the unit's poor track record. "The joke I always heard was wondering how much more money these people would spend not developing any programs," the exec said. "Projects like [the musical-oriented] Off the Hook and talk shows hosted by Miss Piggy and Jane Seymour (news) never got off the ground."*

This is from an article posted in November on the Mediaweek site. I found it at Yahoo.

Hmm...depending on the quick wit and ability to ad lib by the new performer of Lady Hamhock, a Miss Piggy hosted talk show could be funny. After all, puppets can say (and get away with) a lot more than people can, and Piggy's fighting attitude could lend itself to some humorous moments.

Just as long as it isn't scripted like that horrible Martin Short gig with that other 'pig,' "Glick."
