Early on in Season 1 of TMS, I believe, she didn't wear gloves. Also, a guy was at MuppetFest and won her gloves, signed, as part of an auction.

I always assumed she was either trying to be "classy" (although some of her behavior would show otherwise ;D) or they didn't want to address the issue of pig hooves. You know, kinda like how Alvin and the Chipmunks are always wearing shoes.

Still, in the early seasons of the MS she wasn't wearing them, so... I don't know XD

In the Waiting at The Church song whre Kermit and Miss Piggy sing that he can't find a way to marry her today , because his wife won't let him, Piggy's seen without her gloves.
