Wonder if there's a mash up between Five Nights at Freddies and "You're the Birthday, you're the birthday, you're the birthday Boy or Girl." From the Simpsons.

Now that I think about it, wouldn't that work great with a Gorg?

My friend (who made the comment about that ridiculously long theory which led to this) saw this, and she just stared and said "I've created a monster…" But still awesome art bro.

She didn't inspire this. I drew it last year during a rather dull seminar.

Is it just me, or can the Madoka fandom get really mean for no reason? I made the mistake of saying that Mami Tomoe was my least favorite magical girl, and gave what I believe to be perfectly valid reasons, like that she came off as ignorant and self-centered and that her backstory felt kind of rushed. Also there was another thing, but I can't spoil it because I don't think this forum has a spoiler tag option. Sure, she had a valid reason for doing it, but that doesn't make it 100% okay. Next thing I know, I get attacked, with people calling me horrible names. I don't even dislike Mami, she's just my least favorite! And, because it's the internet, I got a lot of hate for liking Sayaka Miki. Come on, people, she's been through a lot. And tell me this, if your best friend was crippled, and they were depressed because their injuries have stopped them from doing what they love, wouldn't you want to heal them? Also, learn from my mistakes and don't say you like Hitomi Shizuki. People will call you homophobic (just because she had the line "But that's forbidden love!", or in the dub, "Girls can't love girls!") and other stuff. Hitomi didn't know about the stuff going on in Sayaka's life. She's not perfect, but she's not a monster. Plus, she sort of cleared the way for Sayaka to be with Kyoko (of course, that didn't exactly work out, but still)…so shouldn't the fandom be happy?

Well I don't know the whole situation, but some fans these days seem to demand that their characters be perfect right from the start (or at least perfect reflections of themselves, heh). And as you kinda indicated, they can be quite cruelly unforgiving. They've forgotten that the whole point of a story is to watch a character start out one way and develop and grow over time. And just because a character disagrees with them on an issue, doesn't mean he or she isn't worthwhile in other ways. Causes are very important, but people shouldn't be sacrificed to them.

As someone who is a Whovian myself, i've never seen a fandom as fun and interesting yet simultaneously so divisive. I mean every fandom can be divisive, but Doctor Who fans can be extremely hard to please. Each DW fan has their own set idea of what the show is. So much so that every episode is divisive, every character is divisive, every single little thing is overanalyzed to the point that some fans get angry at the fake science of the show despite the fact the it's a science fiction show.

Some older fan tell the younger fans tell the younger fans that they're not real fans because they didn't watch any of the classic era episode from (1963-1989)
Some younger fans tell the older fans they're not true fans because they haven't seen the new era episodes (2005-present).

There are huge amounts of hate for every single Doctor and people that have played each of the Doctors. Some people can't stand any of his companions. They say one companion was too loud, while another one didn't say enough. Or they say that one character was too clingy, but they say another was too independent. None of this I understand because, if you don't like any of the characters on a show then why do you keep watching?

Whenever a new producer/head writer takes over the show, there's a huge amount of backlash there. And people getting bashed left and right for preferring one head writer over the other. Some fans personally attack the fans because of her/his personal preference and some even go as far as personally attacking the head writer of the show. Back in 2005,the guy who brought the show back got hundreds of death threats from old Who fans.

But on the other end of the fandom, most of the fans aren't quite as nasty.
Many fans are extremely creative and turn their passion of the show into some amazing art and other projects including fan films. Because the show is so creative, funny and imaginative, it continues to unlock people's imagination and it's helped to inspire a lot of great people including Stephen Spielberg who as been quoted as saying "The world would be a much poorer place without Doctor Who" . The fandom is generally made up of mostly normal people who are very supportive of each other. And it actually reminds me in a lot of ways of the MLP fandom.

In all honesty, the Arthur fandom has really gone south in recent years, so much so that people are voluntarily walking away from the fandom and trying to avoid it altogether, because it's become overrun with polluted with trolls.

The Arthur fandom is similar to Muppet Freaks in a lot of ways: many of them are fans who simply never grew up (as Tough Pigs is noted for saying), but then there are fans out there who never grew up for the wrong reasons: now, I don't mean this to be derogatory towards a certain group of people out there, but there's a number of fans who are, let's just say "special needs" - they're adults, but they have the mentality of kids, so that becomes a problem for others. For instance, there are two very infamous trolls among the Arthur fandom who have all but given the entire fandom a permanent black eyes, and one of them is someone Drtooth will know who I'm talking about: he's on deviantART, and he basically posts nothing but MS Paint tracings of screen shots and puts the characters in bathing suits (yes, Drtooth, the guy with the fetish with the hershey kiss nipples), and often times harasses other people like that one kid you knew in school who was so obnoxious that you actually wished somebody would lock him in a locker. Then there's supposedly a troll over at fanfiction.net who apparently has a fetish for writing about the characters losing their genitals in one way or another, and this is all he writes about, and he apparently has like hundreds of these kinds of stories . . . I heartell some say, based on his profile picture, the he even looks like a pedophile.

And then there's certain trolls who really contribute nothing to the fandom at all, but they keep hanging around, & t@lk l!k3 t#!$ @11 t#3 t!m3, because they have nothing better to do. I'll be honest, I actually moderate an Arthur fan forum (for adult fans, mind you), but I don't really have much to do with it anymore because we keep losing so many of our legit members over problems like this - it's like no matter what outlet you go to for the franchise, there's more trolls than there are legit fans. Really, the best place there ever was for Arthur fans was Hubert's old Elwood City Central forum, but that guy has never returned from his "break" like three or four years ago . . . it's almost like he was deja vu of That Announcer: we never heard from that guy again, and he was pretty much singlehandedly responsible for coaxing many of us MC old timers out of our shells over a decade ago when there was still an almost kind of shyness among the community.

Being on tumblr, I've seen the worst sides of a lot of fandoms, but I gotta say I am truly terrified of the Steven Universe and Undertale fandoms. The former harassed a girl into attempting suicide because she drew something the fans didn't like, then attacking the show's staff for not supporting their flawed logic that its ok to bully someone and send death threats because they did something you dont like. If you want some more details AlphaOmegaSin did a youtube video on it. Yes. The situation got that bad that it got the attention of people outside of tumblr.

The Undertale fandom...god where do I even begin. Death threats for not agreeing with your headcanons and ideas, death threats for 'calling the main character the wrong gender' when the creator himself said the character is whatever you want them to be. Then theres this weird group of them who are against people who are against hatred towards certain groups? I dunno...the fandom is just putrid.

You got to love the logic of the fanbase there. Here we have a show about love with a hateful fanbase. The fact they pretty much don't even get the show's philosophy and act in a way the main character of the show would never condone just goes to show you how horrible the internet can be. It was one thing when they were acting like a bunch of babies over the Uncle Grandpa crossover that the creator of Steven Universe personally requested, but that's too far. I'm glad the show's staff stepped in.

^ spreading of fandoms who have a lot of hate though the show teaches love. the MLP: FiM fanbase is that way as well.. so the Undertale fanbase.
Never I repeat NEVER insult their beloved sans or Mettaton. They will KILL you. Also for some reason they REALLY REALLY hate five nights at freddy's and even sent death threats to the FNAF creator. I don't like FNAF myself but that is UNACCEPTABLE! They're video games for crying out loud!

The Touhou fandom is pretty normal, but back on 2009 there were trolls that would go on the video for U.N. Owen was Her and say that ZUN stole the theme from the McRoll.
