Okay, I'm not sure which forum to put this in, On The Web or Friends And Family or Merchandise. I'll let the moderator resort if they want.

I know Ken wanted submissions for "Fanatical Friday" so I thought he might enjoy this as well as some of you others out there in Cyber-Muppet-Land. I just got my family's portrait back the other day. My wife scanned a copy and sent it to work for me to put on my desktop or screensaver. I really enjoy looking at my wife and kids, but didn't really want to stare at myself all that much. So I removed myself from the portrait and started re-inserting my favorite Muppet action-figures instead.

Here's pre-manipulated:

I LOVE it!!!! That was hilarious. And your family is so cute, I couldn't decide which picture I liked the best. But Floyd with his arm around your youngest was a nice touch. Very clever!

By the way, do any of those people have names?

Very nice! I like the whole gang in there the best.

But, uh, where's Kermit? And Piggy?

Also, a suggestion-- could you get a picture with Spencer chewing on Animal's drum stick? If Spencer is anything like my daughter at 6 months, it ought to be pretty easy to get a picture of him with something in his mouth that could be cropped so the drum stick would fit in. Perhaps Colin has a drum or other instrument that came with a stick Spencer could use?

Call me a champion of the underdog, but I didn't really think I needed Kermit or Piggy. Piggy wouldn't work as a variant since it was a "family" portrait, and I'm not really into those new alternative family things. Kermit was just too obvious a Muppet. I love them both, but I like the other characters as well. If I had some more test shots from Palisades, I'd love to put Statler & Waldorf there and or a few others.

With the right time and resources I could probably make quite a variety of "fantasy" shots including Spencer grabbing after Animal's drumstick. (And yes, if this were real life, there would be no question he would have that thing in his mouth in an instant.) However, these pics were done very quickly while at work with the few images I had easy access to. Maybe if I didn't have to do actual work while at my job, I'd have more time to spend on silly pictures like these. I'd sure prefer it that way!

Work? You put earning a living and providing a home and food for your children ahead of tampering with photographs? What kind of father are you?

Actually, with kids that age I'm impressed you have enough extra energy to do something like this at all.
