    Hey All!
Since I'm not too good with the outlines, I thought I'd just tell you some ideas I think would be great for TMS

"Beautiful": by The Frackles: Okay, now I can't stand the rest of Christine Aguilera's work, but I think sound would fit perfectly with a discourged Gloat Frackle. During the end of the of the song, a big majority of the monsters (and Gonzo, of course) would join him.

"Walk On By" By Janice and the Linda Rondstat backround singers: I can see her singing this to Zoot, Floyd, and other Assorted males while they walk by (in an outdoors nightlife backdrop, perhaps?). I was originally going to pick Piggy (who would karate chop them all as they walk by) but I didn't think it'd fit.

"Put on a Happy Face" by two Whatnots: Sorry, this was originally Joggy's idea posted on the old MC, but it's just such a good idea :D

"Lulu's Back in Town" with a whatnot and Beautiful Day In Drag: Of course a reused idea from SS, but it would also work well on TMS

"Strawberry Fields Forever": I can definitley see Floyd playing this, with EM on back.....wow..

"Do You Know The Way To San Jose?": I can see maybe Annie Sue singing this...maybe Piggy...with 3 pigs playing backup

    I'll have more soon! :)

From Show Boat, "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man of Mine" (or 'frog of mine') and maybe "Ol' Man River". Something from Porgy and Bess (we're doing a medley of it in choir, so it's been on my mind). At any rate, something I just mentioned is going in one of my outlines in development, probably Paul Lynde or maybe Gene Wilder.

I personally think LuLu's Back In Town is one of the corniest songs ever written. And not good corny in the Disney kinda way. But BAD corny in the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy kinda way :)
What'd be awesome is a parady of Thriller by Michael Jackson. Kinda like Moulin Scrooge, but darker (And Without that huge windmill :) ).
The Mayhem could take turns singing lead, while everything from penguins to pigs could play the roles of zombies.

Skeeter, my Paul Lynde outline is coming along. I should have it finished soon. Need to come up with a plot first.

Is that not what the Muppets are all about? ;)
I think both songs you mentioned are great and tailor fit for the Muppets. They also bring an element of comedy into the number, with the suprise of Beautiful Day in drag as Lulu.
  14. How about...

"Monster Mash" as sung by all the monsters and frackles plus Lenny Lizard, along with some villian muppets and a what-not man with a British accent on the lead vocals/narration

Monster Mash is one song that they definetely should've done on The Muppet Show, since they have soooooooo many monsters.

    Some Beatles Songs:

Your Mother Should Know: In an English Pub, with Fozzie, Rowlf, and some male Muppets, with Geri (of the Atrics)

Penny Lane: Fozzie walking down Penny Lane seeing the described things

All You Need Is Love: Frackles, maybe?

Yellow Submarine: I think this one would be great for a new Muppet Band I thought up.."The Aquatic Four" consisting of the "Control Room Whatnot" (from Helen Reddy Ep, the pink muppet) and 3 other whatnots. I imagine "Control Room" playing keyboard inside the sub, while 3 other members pop up from the outside of the sub (through the windows) when the chorus comes.

Love Love Me Do: By The Muppet "Beetles"

Oh, And of course, Magical Mystery Tour, by Floyd....heh.. J/K. (Did you really think I thought THAT could be used on TMS?)

    How about:

Ordinary Fool (from Bugsy Malone): Sung by Janice after an argument with Flyod (That's the key plotline in my Richard Dryfuss outline that'll be up soon)

Funny Face: Sung by Gonzo to Camillia

Diamonds are forever: Miss piggy, sung surodented by female pigs dressed as diamonds.

    "Right Field"

I mentioned this in another thread long ago, but there's a Peter, Paul and Mary song called "Right Field". It can be found on the "Peter, Paul, and Mommy Too" album, and either Peter or Paul does the lead vocals. I can imagine Scooter doing this one, with the action of the song going on as he sings:

Saturday summers, when I was a kid,
We'd run to the schoolyard and here's what we did,
We'd pick out the captains, we'd choose up the teams,
It was always a measure of my self-esteem...
Cause the fastest and strongest played shortstop and first,
The last ones they picked were the worst...
I never needed to ask...it was sealed.
I just took up my place in right field...

Playing right field, it's easy, ya know,
You can be awkward and you can be slow,
That's why I'm here in right field,
    Just watchin' the dandelions grow.

Playing right field can be lonely and dull,
Little Leagues never have lefties that pull.
I'd dream of the day they'd hit one my way...
They never did, but still I would pray
That I'd make a fantastic catch on the run
And not lose the ball in the sun...
And then I'd awake from this long reverie
And pray that the ball never came out to me.

Here in right field, it's easy, ya know,
You can be awkward and you can be slow,
That's why I'm here in right field,
    Just watchin' the dandelions grow.

(Whistles snippet of "Take Me Out To The Ballgame"...)

Out in the distance, the game's draggin' on,
There's strikes on the batter, some runners are on,
I don't know the inning, I've forgotten the score,
The whole team is yelling, and I don't know what for...
    Suddenly everyone's looking at me,
My mind has been wandering, what could it be?
They point to the sky and I look up above,
And a baseball falls into my glove...!

...Here in right field, it's important, ya know!
You gotta know how to catch, you gotta know how to throw!
That's why I'm here in right field,
    Just watchin' the dandelions grow!

Nice? Just imagine Scooter swarmed by happy Muppets at the end and carried off on their shoulders.
