Muppet Smilies

Full? Some forums have HUNDREDS of different smilies!

I think if there were to be anymore smilies here on MC, I think the number one smilie we could use is (and please forgive me) a laughing Elmo smilie, because... well, look at the several posts by random members here who type *insert laughing Elmo smilie* into their posts?

I wouldn't want hundreds of cluttering smilies.

If the smilies did open up again - I'd be game for creating one more small grouping, but in the end there's always going to be someone left out. I've included Elmo in a lot of seasonal menus so he's adequately represented on MC. I'll bite my tongue on the rest. I'd rather have another Muppet for any laughing smilie.

The ones I'd pitch: Boober=sigh, Mokey=dreamy, Newsman=news, Telly=nervous, Bean=cute or giggle, Uncle Matt=traveling, Chicken=misc.

But again, I've been told we're full enough.

If we're "full", is it possible to remove some and add new ones? How many people actually use or or that often? We at least need an LOL Elmo and a *sigh* Boober.

i'd love to see some new smilies. even if they had to remove a few, i'd be okay with that. how bout it MC? aaaahhh? aaaahh?

I love having all these smilies- and I think that list listed earlier sounds great. I just don't want to have to lose any to add more though. And I do think Elmo really should be on here for laughing.

The only place meaning the only thread or only place meaning the forum in general? Since I am confused about what you mean, I will answer it both ways. You can use the smilies anywhere on the forum, not just this thread...If you want to use them elsewhere off of the forum, you probably need permission to do so. And to be honest, somehow I feel like you would not be able to.

Do you think MC could have Clifford and Waldo icons? Bean Bunny for 'cute' is a must!

If the smilies you want aren't here, you can always make them yourself.

Make them in paint, upload them to an image host, and every time you want to use one, use the image code to insert it into your post. I cannot make smilies. I tried DX

There are a lot of image hosts like flickr, imgur, photobucket, but I would recommend imageshack. Photobucket is just horrible. Its slow, its ugly, and giving people a direct link to the image directs them to the photobucket website instead of seeing the image in a blank window. Did I mention it is PAINFULLY SLOW? Tinypic is now just a branch of photobucket. Avoid at all costs. I'm not familiar with flickr or imgur, but I think imgur has a really small file size limit.

Imageshack is your best bet.

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a smiley of the Two Headed Monster and Lips? A Marvin Suggs wouldn't be too bad, either.

I've decided to add a Walter smile for general optimism, excitement and positive thinking. MC could use more Walters. The great passion he brought to the Muppets movie has earned him a place in my heart and a place in our smilies whenever MC wants to add him.
