Actually when we started this ten years ago she used to perform with me...then we had kids. She supports me but gets a little frustrated when the Puppets come into the house rather than work.

LOL....yeah I get on the subject of mine and doing things and she says....that is not a job...but believe me If I can do things to get noticed or if the muppets or sesame street called me I would be off in a heartbeat to do what I love

Everything you would need for an arm rod is at Walmart. Black coat hangars, craft foam brushes, and a hot glue gun......done! :)

Speaking of What - Nots. I made a video with my Muppet what not!! I made a little beard for him and hair. Please watch and enjoy!! My what not is the best Christmas gift I have gotten in a long time! I can't wait to physically go to FAO in NYC and make another one!

Ps. I still haven't made another arm stick for him. In time!!

Thanks! I appreciate that! I feel what they say that the puppet / muppet is direct correlation of the person controlling it. My muppet, (name: Brick Rockport) is a nice guy.

LOL....I have many puppets I do...my alter ego...the one in my avatar is named Alvin. been doing him since I was in 5th grade. Now I have a slew of other characters I do...including my new Elmo puppet I just got.

Great video! and your Muppeteering was dead on! I especially liked the piano scene:).

Ha, that was tough cause I was crouched down and uncomfortable. I still am bummed I had that "dead arm" look without another rod, but I did what I could. I really appreciate the compliment on the "muppeteering!!" That's I think something people just don't appreciate. I've seen a lot of What Not videos on youtube, etc. and it's not usually in sync with what the muppet is supposed to be singing or saying. Again, I feel all muppets / puppets is the person! Cause well,---it's them controlling all aspects. This is my first puppet / muppet and I want many more!! thanks!

Alvin, (and others) did you get a chance to see "Being Elmo".? I am so frustrated because I was traveling and every city I was in the film JUST left! So I missed out on it completely. So I am excited for the DVD out in April. My friend got to go to the Premiere! Lucky guy!!

Being Elmo is on Netflix right now. Wish I could have seen it in theaters though.

It's on Netflix as an upcoming release on DVD, probably won't be available until the beginning of May as they run a month from release. :(

I did see it...and oh my goodness...such an inspiring idea giving movie. I cannot wait to buy it on DVD...I hope it will be available on Bluray. I have stopped buying DVD's. It will make you want to pursue puppetry and your dreams even more.

It does kind of make you think (or made me think) how can I be in the right place at the right time to meet someone of importance to get "noticed" or get picked up by say Sesame Street or Disney....such an inspiring movie...made my head spin with ideas and stuff! :p

You know that is a thought. I told my wife this morning that it was neat to watch Kevin and how that all worked out for him, but I'm happy doing small puppetry in my little part of the world...I'd never be that good anyways.....cnn interviewing me about the Muppets would be the closest I'd ever get to that world. And then I broke into a musical number .... "I've got everything that I need....." :)

You got interviewed for Anderson's show??

No for interview with the CNN Geekout blog last year.... I got quoted in the article three times and they used my video
http://geekout.blogs.cnn.com/2011/12/07/the-newest-muppet-is-a-geek/?hpt=hp_bn8 ironically Walter never really answers my question. It was cool to have cnn call my house...the wife thought I was in trouble or something.
