Okay, so after YouTube Red launched and I found out a lot of famous YouTubers have what could basically be called "TV series" on there, I began thinking: Could the Muppets have a series on YouTube Red too, since they have a regular channel on YouTube?

I was thinking that maybe the show could function similarly to how the Muppet Show did, like how it had different skits in it and maybe a few scenes of what's going on backstage, and also have popular YouTube stars be guests on it.

It would be called the Muppet YouTube Show!

I can already list a few YouTubers who I can picture interacting with the Muppets, like Danny Avidan, from Game Grumps and NSP (he said in a Game Grumps video that he was a fan of the Muppets!), like maybe he could sing a couple of his songs with the Electric Mayhem such as "Dinosaur Lazer Fight" (maybe with Muppet dinosaurs in it) and "Cool Patrol" (which could be a recreation of the music video but have Muppet characters take the places of the humans from his video, like have Walter take Jacksepticeye's place).

And Markiplier, like he and the Muppets could do a spoof of "Five Nights at Freddy's", only they could call it "Five Nights at Fozzie's", and the skit would be that Mark would be the nightguard at a restaurant called "Fozzie Fozbear's Pizza" and Fozzie, who would be playing the part of the animatronic that can move around on it's own, would be trying to get into the security room, and Mark would freak out and do every possible ridiculous thing he could do to prevent Fozzie from getting into the security room because he thinks he's going to hurt him, and when Fozzie finally gets in, it would turn out that he just wanted to sing a song with Mark, and then it would lead to a musical number.

Tell me what you think of this idea, and also comment if you have any other ideas for what the Muppets could do with different YouTube stars.

    No, LOL! :o:laugh::laugh:

Anyway, I honestly don't like the idea of Youtube Red. Youtube is supposed to be for independent creators, not shows. It shouldn't be a streaming site, and unfortunately I think that's the direction they are heading in.

Personally, I think they should either have a show on Netflix (which I doubt would happen) or that new streaming service that Disney is coming up with. But Muppets + Streaming should equal good results.

So Muppets should get a show on a streaming service but YouTube Red is not the place for it? Got it.

What about my idea for having YouTubers perform with the Muppets. I mean, they've collaborated with VSauce3, Barely Political, Mental Floss, Lindsey Stirling, Crash Course and Mike Tompkins. Why not some of the more famous YouTubers like Danny Avidan, Markiplier, Lilly Singh aka Superwoman and all those people?

Yeah, definitely. When they cancelled the ABC Muppet Show, I thought they should've put another season on Netflix or Hulu or something. Like I said previously, the Muppets in this day and age should pair well with streaming services, just not Youtube Red.

Why can't they just upload the show to their regular YouTube channel?

Or better yet, why can't they do a show with actual Muppet writers and director?

Ooh, that would be really cool. I know Disney has expressed no interest in bringing Frank Oz back, but I think he would be a great writer or director for future Muppet projects.

I had a similar thought except on their regular you tube channel. I was thinking more traditional guest stars, but I suppose mixing in some you tube folks would be an interesting twist. The guest would be coming to the Muppet you tube studio to film viral videos with them In my concept the "show" would be broken up by week. For example a new video would be uploaded each Friday at noon. The first video the guest would arrive. There would be some behind the scenes banter - maybe some kind of through line set up maybe not - The next three videos would be the videos the guest showed up to do. They could be original songs, cover songs, comedy, sketches, Swedish Chef cooking, going out and about in public with the star interacting with people, parodying popular viral videos, etc. If each video was between 5-8 mins long at the end of the month you would have a full length show. They could then put them on itunes to sell as a complete package. To sweeten the purchase they could include a "bonus video" similar to the British scenes from the original and these could just feature Muppets - A newsflash, Vet's Hospital etc. And of course add the final Statler and Waldorf critique of the whole set. To reduce the workload on everyone they could release them every other month or spread out the videos to one every two weeks. In the end we would basically have 6 new episodes.

Slightly off-topic, but as I've said many times before, I've often thought it would be interesting to see certain YouTubers or other internet celebrities on SS . . . I mean, they had Pentatonix and Fifth Harmony in recent years, why not others? I'd love to see Lindsey Stirling dancing and twirling around the street, or most definitely Doug Walker as a Grouch movie reviewer or something.

It's pretty close to if not on topic. But the you tube celebs probably make more sense to the youngins of today. I think they should still try to get the First Lady (eventually First Gentleman); Beyonce, Tom Hanks etc. But many of the you tube stars are quite talented and would be a pleasant presence on the Street.

Oh! WORLD'S DUMBEST... featured this clip once!

    0:14
BRYAN CALLEN: Give your what a proper what?
JUDY GOLD: "Your o'possum"? Who the **** has an o'possum?
CHRIS STRAIT: This is great, because the closest possums ever come to a massage is a truck tire.

    1:50
CHELSEA PERRETI: I actually read this woman's book, BEYOND BONKERS. It was great.

    3:53
JUDY: "Many people"? Can we stop pretending that other people out there are doing this?

    3:54
MIKE BRITT: B****, are you kiddin' me?
MIKE TRAINOR: I guess that thing about playin' possum is a myth, because if ever there was a time to do it, now would be the time.

    4:03
KEVIN McCAFFREY: The words "possum" and "lubricate" should never be in the same sentence!

    4:13
JOHN ENOS: Just close your eyes and listen. Just listen, this is so good. I just want her to train my wife.

    4:40
BILLY KIMBALL: When I tried this on my o'possum, I got a very negative energy. I had to give up massage my o'possum altogether.

    7:01
ROGER: Okay, forget about the "sweepin' away the auora" there, toots. Couple of more lubricate strokes on the tail, and that possum'll be just fine.

I can definitely see this. I always imagined Floyd Pepper will team up with Markiplier cause of the mustaches lol. And Jack can be with Animal.
