Well Hello There Muppet Fans! I am so pleased to now be able to keep up to date on what is going on in the world of Muppets. I have enjoyed them ever since I watched it on Sesame Street when it first came out I believe back in the late 60's early 70's. I always watched the show patiently waiting for the Ernie and Bert segment to come up. (It was my favorite) Now through the years I enjoyed all the various shows that Jim put together until his untimely demise back in 1990. It was a very sad day. I still continued to watch and enjoy the love and the humour that the muppets have continued to give with Brian at the helm and still enjoy them right up into my 50's. The new movie was especially fun and really kept true to the usual hilarious muppet schtick that has made them what they are today. NO, The Muppets were never forgotten, just some of us just got a little older that's all!! Continue to make the magic that you make so well Brian and company, because the muppets are so much more than most people see!

Welcome in all newbies, young and old, clean and dirty, spaghetti-eating or puppet-building! Welcome, welcome all!

:news: Was that supposed to make any sense?

Not really. I'm a little tired-giddy. Just roll with it.

    :news: *sigh*

Enjoy your stay, join the discussions, count all fingers and toes after any conversation involving Carl or Behemoth. Remember: only YOU can prevent boring threads.

Hey rustynails, suggest you try the Muppet Merchandise section or the Buy/Sell/Trade threads. I'm sure someone knows something.

:news: And some of us stay in the know.

Muffins for all! Have a ginger beer to wash 'em down.

Hiya! I'm new. I'm a puppeteer. I'm a puppet lover. I'm a puppet builder. I've been getting into the biz as it were, and I'm absolutely in love with everything puppets. If I were a puppet I would be Wembley, Izzy (the girl in my photo), or Ernie. I'm so glad to have found such a great community here! I'll be lurking! (In a totally non-creepy way, of course.)

Hello all! New to the forum. I just relocated to Chicago, and I keep seeing all of these "puppet" improv shows being advertised and it's inspired me to start building my own puppets. I'm already an accomplished mascot costume designer/maker/performer (www.facebook.com/amazingmascots) but I have a lot to learn about puppetry.

And I saw "Being Elmo". It made me cry....

Hi, everyone! I'm in this forum for 10 days until I found this introduction thread. Hope it's not too late to say Hi.
I found this site on the Links tab in Muppet Mindset. The forum seems interesting, so, I joined. I'm having lots of fun so far.
My favorite is Robin the Frog, by the way.

  15. Hello, all you happy tax-payers. Have been watching this place for quite awhile, and mainly didn't join out of laziness until now. Just a cartoon (and occasionally Henson and monster movie) geek/genuine menace to society who aspires to unleash his creations upon this unfortunate world of ours, be it in animated or puppet form (I have equal interest in both mediums).
I'll see what kind of mischief I can get into here...

Hi! My name is Mat Kuhio & I'm a freelance illustrator & puppet maker in Brisbane, Australia. Been freelancing since 1996 doing mainly hand-drawn artwork for print advertising, & recently branched out into puppetmaking after seeing The Muppets movie a 3rd time in cinemas.

I've been a fan of everything Jim Henson-related since I was 5 & have an impressive collection of Palisades Muppets action figures & customised FAO Schwarz Whatnot puppets at our apartment.

Since I started building puppets, I've used Muppet Central as a source of information for building techniques. Everyone on here seems to be as big a Muppets fan as me so I joined up in the hope of finding out more & becoming a better puppet maker.

Howdy! I have been a fan of puppets in general and Muppets in particular for EVER. "The Dark Crystal" was my favorite movie for years and I used to be able to do a killer Chamberlain impression. I've been a puppeteer professionally with a company for almost 2 years now. I'm interested in branching out and doing some construction for my own projects, and was hoping that in addition to meeting with other Muppet-minded folks on the forum, I might meet people who either know construction, or know where to look for the kinds of puppets I want to make. I hope it's okay if I don't necessarily want to make Muppet-style puppets (at least, for SOME of the projects).

Hey all if only the world was made like the muppets. I grew up watching Kermit on sesame street loving every minute of it no adult humor just good kid friendly comedy. I'm now 30 and have kids of my own my 5 year old sat and watched the latest movie with me and he got every joke and it's just great to see that, the muppets will never die in my family I love them, my wife wants to marry Kermit and my son is amazed that they are real. Id rather watch Kermit and the gang over any cartoon or any animated movie aimed at kids today. GO MUPPETS!!!!!!!

  20. Hi everyone! I've been a huge Muppet and Sesame Street fan, for pretty much my whole life. To add with, I'm also a huge fan of several other old-school PBS Kids shows (mostly pre-2000).

Well, otherwise I'm very honored to be part of this Forum, that I have been browsing on ever since, I heard about this website, in general, and I can't wait to get started on posting stuff here.
