Hi, all! We got in our first complete samples today here at the office of the new Muppet 550-Piece Collector's Edition Jigsaw Puzzle and it looks great! Look for lots of info. in the coming weeks about this very cool new item (due out in stores in mid-October) including an exclusive first look at the all-new Muppet group image that makes up the puzzle!

I couldn't find the old thread where people were guessing who the 33 Muppets are that are pictured in the puzzle, but as I recall about half of the Muppets in the puzzle were confirmed by me (though I don't recall which ones they were), many of the others were guessed, but no one had yet to touch upon the one really obscure Muppet in the puzzle.

Anyone care to start the guessing again? I'm allowed to drop more hints now...

hey Monpoly guy. Here's the thread.

http://forum.muppetcentral.com/showthread.php?p=117412#post117412

and here is what we had confirmed for 33 of the muppets.....

1)Kermit,
2)Miss Piggy,
3)Gonzo,
3)Animal,
5)Floyd,
6) Sam
7) Waldorf
8)Statler
9) Bunsen
10) Beaker
11) Rizzo
12) Pepe
13) Zoot
14) Chef

there were some other clues too, but I don't really remember them.

Also I had made a few assumptions involving these guys..

15) Pops
16) Dr. Teeth
17) Rowlf
18) Scooter
19) Pepe
20) Johnny
21) sal
22) Lew Zeland
23) Sweetums
24) Crazy Harry
25) Bobo

..and was told 2 of them were not there. I would take out harry and Bobo. That gives us 23.... my other 10 guesses

24) Janice
25) Robin
26) Clifford
27) Camilla
28) Bean
29) Link
30) Strangepork
31) Beau
32) Fozzie
33) I would guess Jim Henson as the obscure character! :stick_out_tongue:

Fozzie Bear,
Nice guesses! Only 5 of your 33 aren't in the puzzle.

Here are the Muppets I believe I confirmed in the previous thread *matleo, we must have been typing at the same time, and it looks like I inadvertantly confirmed two more--oh well, they were pretty obvious ones  *:

1 - Kermit
2 - Miss Piggy
3 - Gonzo
4 - Animal
5 - Fozzie
6 - Rizzo
7 - Statler
8 - Waldorf
9 - Sam
10 - Beaker
11 - Bunsen
12 - Swedish Chef
13 - Dr. Teeth
14 - Zoot
15 - Floyd
16 - Pepe

Don't forget, there's at least one very obscure Muppet in the puzzle!

To my knowledge, the "obscure" Muppet only appeared in one episode of The Muppet Show but played a fairly prominent role. To tell you more or who guest starred in that episode would give too much away, I fear.

my money's on JP Grosse. or Angus, but more than likely JP Grosse.

edit: just adding in a few tidbits of knowlegde form the other thread.....

Warrick asked about Lips, Pops and Nigel and was told that 1 of those three was in and the other two were not. my guess is that Pops is in.

Equally Zack asked about Pepe, Bobo, Johnny, Sal, Phil Van Neuter, Dr Teeth, Bean Crazy Harry, Lew, Rowlf, Scooter, Clifford and Sweetums and was told that all but 3 of those were correct.

now when I resonde to tis, I guessed out Clifford, Bean and Phil were not and THAt's when I was told two of those were actusally in and two that I had said were in were out. I'm stil going to say Harry, Bobo, and Philare out. Clifford and Bean are in. ok, now lets; look at the most current guess where we know 5 are wron and see what inconsistancies there are.

I would guess the five on this list who shouldn't be here are Harry, Lips, Bobo, Penguin, and Thog. I just realised that in one of my previous posts I had Pepe listed twice. so Let's say this....

1) Kermit
2) Piggy
3) Fozzie
4) Gonzo
5) Rizzo
6) Chef
7) Bunsen
8) Beaker
9) Statler
10) Waldorf
11) Animal
12) Floyd
13) Dr. Teeth
14) Zoot
15) Pepe
16) Sam
17) Janice
18) Johnny
19) Sal
20) Beau
21) Bean
22) Clifford
23) Robin
24) Samilla
25) Lew Zealand
26) Link Hogthrob
27) Julius Strangepork
28) Marvin Suggs
29) Pops
30) Rowlf
31) Scooter
and 32) JP Grosse

that would make a cool puzzle.

Hey MG, how close are getting?

Actually, he made appearances on two episodes of the second season (Judy Collins and Jaye P Morgan) so it's probably not him.
