PBS announces Mister Rogers spin-off: "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood"

  1. What? I thought the idea was pretty good, even though I saw the original.

    Idea and execution are two entirely different things. We won't know how this is going to be until it airs. And then we're going to have to check out at least one episode to really have a final say in what the show will be like.

    This could either be a fitting tribute, or something that can go really wrong really fast. Until it airs, we just can't tell.

    The first previews are floating around PBS. Nothing extremely objectionable in the clips, but the animation is UGLY!

    I think it pretty neat! Because we still need the taste of Mr.Rogers even though Fred Rogers is gone forever but his sprit lives on in the hearts of all of us.

    Maybe they could show classic clips of the original show at the end of episodes.
