I was really upset at hearing the news of Jerry Nelson's passing and well, after listening to lots of Floyd singing songs, this started to write itself and I kept going until I no longer could. Now, I do not mention all of Jerry's characters, I mention only the ones I was most influenced by and that they all taught me a little something along the way :)

One, ahaaa, two, ahaaa, three ahaaa
I still count on my fingers like that,
Would you believe that I learned that on the street, Sesame,
From the one ahaaa and only Count Von Count
When I first saw him, I let out a scream, a scared shout!
But I didn't need to fret, 'cause he wasn't a mean vamp posing a threat,
He was a dignified count and not to mention a counting champ!
From him I learned numbers as well that lovely dance,
    The Batty Bat
On that same street, I got to know this big brown creature,
Could never spell his whole name, so I've always called him Snuffy
I was pretty scared of him too,
But I found out he's all friendly, just like he is fluffy!
He helped me get through that big alphabet
Plus, you showed me that first step to writing a story,
Seeing what should happen I believe that word is:
Before I were to even take the leap,
I needed to learn how to hop, who'd I learn this from?
I'll give you a hint, Kermit's his relative, but not his pop
I'm talking about Robin The Frog
Who truly drove the fact that small is powerful,
    Size and age are nothing,
It's what's deep inside you that matters, that special something,

Spice is oh so very nice,
Much like the hidden king of rock n' roll, Mr. Bassman,
I mean Sgt. Floyd Pepper, bassman for The Electric Mayhem!
From acting natural to weeping guitars,
50 Ways To Leave Your Lover, positive that it's not 50 Ways To Love Your Leaver,
Listening to that Black Bird singing in the dead of night,
While enjoying the sweet smell of a Honeysuckle Rose
On top of the world in that New York State of Mind,
    You Ain't Misbehavin',
    Sarge, you got it made
You've got your lady on guitar, she ain't never too far,
What you've shown me is to embrace and love who you are,
Because when you do, it will take you places,
Where you'll meet some news faces,
And be able to call at least one of them:

I always wondered about outer space...
Then I come to find out I live in that place?
    That's what Fraggles say!
Each and everyday, there are so many adventures to be had had in those caves, eh?
Then there's heading up to the Gorgs garden,
Though to some Fraggles just the thought of going anywhere near a Gorg is alarming!
    But not Gobo!
He is a fraggle, but, first and foremost he is an explorer!
With the help from Uncle Matt's postcards, he is ever an informer.
There were always things Gobo never came right out and said,
Because he didn't have to tell them,
    He would show them,
Showing how to take the lead, take charge and even that when you're in charge,
You need one very important thing,
Also, be sure you stay humble in that thing your...
Author's notes: For the record, I can spell Snuffy's full name, but, I was being poetic there. And in the part about Floyd when I capitalized things in the middle of sentences it was because I directly referenced the song.

Wow! This was amazing! I can definetely hear Mokey's voice reading the last section poem to Gobo. Count from Jerry, yes! Snuffy from the voice we have today? Yes! Robin from Matt Vogel? Yes! DramaQueenMokey, that was a beautiful tribute. Gosh! Gobo's voice is going to be silent for a while.

Thank you so much <3 And I hadn't thought about Mokey reading that last section to Gobo, but I hear it now and I agree with you, sure, Gobo might be voiceless for a while, but, he'll always be Gobo <3

    Thanks :)
