Question about body

I just bought some half-inch foam sheet at Clark Rubber (I live in Austraila) and I'm in the middle of building new puppet. Im up to body and did put together now, I need something to make body proper shape. I look up that some people use hoop (Spotlight?) which Im not too sure or use EVA closed cell foam sheet(Hope Clark rubber got it)? Also if you recommed EVA closed cell foam sheet, it mean you make body out of it or just put inside top and bottom of foam to shape it up?
