Hi,

I know that there are some folks on the Message Board who are posting from the UK, and I had a question if someone can help me out.

I know that American appliances don't work in Europe (without an adapter), but what I was really wondering about was batteries. See, I wanted to order a BBC clock for my parents for Christmas, and it takes a battery. I saw it on a UK website.

But will regular American batteries (Energizers, Duracells, etc.) work in British products that take batteries?

It would be great if someone could help me out on this.

Er...yes! Why wouldn't they? :-P It's only the mains supply that's different.

I think so. My roomate has been using British batteries with her American appliances, so that would indicate their compatibility.

Guys - batteries are the same the world over. Different brands, yes, but they all do the same job.
