Hi guys and gals, I'm thinking of buying a few titles from our favorite Muppets movies including the two Sesame Street movies. But what advantages does purchasing the DVD hold over the VHS copy or viceversa? Does the DVD version of Follow That Bird! and/or Elmo in Grouchland contain more material than the VHS copies? Or were the DVD versions edited in any way, making it a better buy for the VHS? And if this occurs on any other Muppet movie, which ones? And which format would be the better buy? Please post here ASAP, cause I'd like to get the holiday shopping done!
Thanks for your help and have a pleasant morrow.

well DVD's are usually much higher quality with much sharper picture and clearer sound. As far as the SS and Muppet movies go, the only valuable extras on the DVDs are theatrical trailers, but nevertheless they're good. Neither DVD nor VHS releases are any more uncut than the other. The version of the film that is on one medium is on the other. Overall I'd recommend DVD over VHS anyday.
