To be fair, Trump's no younger either, no matter how much that fake spray tan makes him look.

I'll take care of that for ya.

No, we need a female president, of color, that absolutely LOVES kids and would NEVER lock them up in prison and has a huge love for CNN and MSNBC because I'm right and you're wrong.

    You're welcome.

Chime in Michelle Obama! If she ran I don't think it would even be a race. I'm a conservative and I do disagree with her on some stuff, but man is she just a very classy lady.

You have to admit it would be nice to have a president who did not condemn the media as an enemy of the people.

I just wouldn't want to put her kids through that again. In a recent interview I saw she said how hard it was for them.

I still don't understand all this, "Michelle made school lunches inedible!" crap.

School lunches were already inedible, even when I was in school - need I go into all of this again?

I'm not sure she'd make it out of the democratic primary. I'm tired of celebrity candidates. Let's get somebody in qualified.

I just want a moderate constitutionalist. I dont want socialist Bernie with his crazy 90% yax on the top 1%. I dont want authoritarian Trump with his wall, I dont want corrupt Hillary or any other dynasty candidate. Just give me a centrist constitutionalist. Someone who believes in true free speech and understands that we need diversity of thought to get things done while also being able to negotiate compromise. We need an accountant...

Tonight I got so mad. I walked into the Wal Mart men's room and over to the urinal. There was something inside of it that I could not make out at first. Upon a closer look I saw the words "How to get to heaven" and was immediately enraged. I can understand someone not wanting to read the gospel track, but to put it where people would pee on it is just plain wrong. Most gospel tracks have Bible verses in them, and the Bible is God's perfect word, and therefore should be respected even if you don't believe or agree with it. So after I finished using the bathroom in a different urinal I grabbed some paper towels, and got the track out. I was going to try and save it, but it was already soaked and sadly already been peed on so I had to throw it away.
I was and still am pretty mad because that was God's Word, and you just don't do that to God's word. If someone gave me a pamphlet that had things from the Book of Mormon or the Corain I would never put it in a place where people would pee on it. I may not agree with those two books but I would never NEVER disrespect someone else's religion like that.

No, they don't need to be. I wouldn't do that sort of thing myself, but there is no reason why I should respect the Bible if I think it's a pile of dung.

By that logic, anybody who thinks your Satanic stuff is contradictory and makes no sense shouldn't have to respect it either.

But then again, you're the one who always says, "hate everybody equally," so maybe that's the mentality here.

I respect everybody's religion and books of faith. I'm not sure how we can call for more civility without respecting each other, including religous beliefs.

No, you're missing the point. Dwayne was saying we should respect the Bible because "it's the divine word of God". I don't believe that whatsoever, and so I don't have any respect for it. I do, however, respect other people's religious beliefs so long as they respect mine.

Saying that everyone should respect the Bible infringes on freedom. And come on, there are so many people who don't respect the Satanic Bible that it's hardly a good comparison. (Most of them, might I add, haven't even read it, which I've actually done with the Bible, so...)

No, that's Jerry. I don't follow that logic much anyway. I hate people if there's a good reason to hate them, i.e. if they're asshats. I don't just hate everyone equally because there are many people I quite like.

Saying someone should respect a religion doesnt infringe on personal freedom. Creating a law that says you must is an infringement.

I am not religious, but I use to work with soneone who was. She would speak about praying to God and her religious holidays, but she never forced others to change their actions around her. She believes being gay is against God, but she would treat gay coworkers with the same respect as everyone else. That is what respect and tolerance is, simply letting other people live their life. She was one of my favorite people and we would often converse about a variety of subjects, but I never told her she was wrong to believe what she did.

Saying we should respect others is fine, Im all for that, as long as we are still allowed to question each others beliefs. The problem with PC culture is that it doesnt actually call for respect, it calls for acceptance and agreement. You can be polite in an unPC way and you can be rude in a PC way.

Another couple of coworker I had werr Muslim. The observed the holidays and would periodically fast. Again, they did not try to shame me for what did or did not believe, and I respected that they held certain religious beliefs. I was the manager so I ensured thatbtheir schedules accommodated their religious needs, not because I feared a lawsuit, but because its the right thing to do. I respected them for who were.

I often see the "tolerant" left bash Christianity and sometimes Judaism, not so much Islam. They say that religious people are stupid and intelligent people are atheists. Well, in my experience, that isnt true. There are stupid atheists and smart religious people and vice versa.

That being said, if you dont want to respect another religion's texts you dont HAVE to, but you should in polite society. I would never support a law that banned bible burning, but I wouldn't burn a bible just for fun either.

I agree with literally all of that post. My point was mainly that we don’t need to respect the Bible because it’s God’s word, because that’s only a Christian’s way of looking at it.
