Another musical icon leaves us. Paul Kantner sang and played with the Jefferson Airplane and put San Francisco on the musical map. Blending folk music with sci-fi lyrics, Paul co-wrote "Wooden Ships" with David Crosby and Stephen Stills, dropped a few M-bombs in "We Can Be Together", and created a sci-fi masterpiece with half of California guesting (" Blows Against the Empire"). Not bad for someone who swore he couldn't sing, play, or get a song on the radio.
