You we have funny, scary, sad, and favorite moments of fraggle rock I was think we should have the time for romantic moments of Fraggle.

So since I thought of fraggles that make perfect couples
but I think show you one that I thought of.

:excited:Red and :smirk:Gobo: I do think they a perfect couple and then again I think most people thought of that too.

Well I do have thoughts on the other but I can't think of them right now.
So what is your favorite romantic moments in Fraggle rock?:)

I don't know of any romantic moments per se but I can think of a few that might fall under puppy love.

There's a scene in some episode and I can't quite remember which one though I'm sure it's first season, where Gobo give Red a little peck on the cheek and she says "Wow," or vise versa. Also, the very end of "Catch the Tail by the Tiger," is sweet. Come to think of it, that whole episode has little bits of Red and Gobo fluff throughout it.

I think you got it backwards.

Um I think you got it backwards Red give Gobo a kiss on the cheek and Gobo says "Wow," Gobo give Red a kiss in Mirror mirror.

Okay thanks. I knew it was one or the other. Do you remember which episode she kisses him in? I can't remember it.

Another scene I rememer that was really sweet was the one at the end of "I wanna be you," when Gobo hugs Red when he says "You make a great bush."

Ok if you want to talk about puppy love. I have seen in a few episodes that there was light reference to some of them being a ' couple ' like Gobo and Red if they are a couple at all. I know this has been discussed many times about them. Personally I think Gobo and Red suite each other but I don't want to repete something that's already been discussed.
There's not really any...um...romantic scene unless you count that one about love potion #9 which I think was something cute and nice that got put together for valentines or something of that nature. I like that episode BTW.

I even think this is a love song in a way. &feature=related

    That is true!

Well that is true but it's not just Red and Gobo.
I have thoughts on the others like 2 fraggle girls for Boober and Wembley all though I'm not about it.
Girls for Boober there's Tosh Fraggle from fraggle rock who is Boober's crush and there's Goldie Fraggle from the fraggle from outer space Who lived in our world all her life. That is I am not quite sure about the 2 of them it but I think that Goldie is the one for Boober 100%.
The girls for Wembley are Lou and Melody but I"m not 100% sure about them plus Melody is from the story from Fanfiction.net called Melody's song.
Melody was this girl who was blind and deaf just like Helen Keller and Melody came to fraggle rock.:coy:

See, I never thought of any of them as being in a couple type relationship. Actually that's what I like about the tv show because sometimes couplings can turn a tv show pverly dramatic. I could see something between Red and Gobo in the way they banter but never really anything serious, and I never really understood where Boober/Mokey pairings came from. As for the think with Wembley and Lou, yes they're cute together but Wembley does make it clear that he likes her as a friend and they're both totally okay with that.

Rose, thanks for the links. I can't watch them at the moment but I thnk the references are good.
Let me be your song could totally be a love song if you sung it at the right moment. Although, I will admit that I do like it as a standard song.

    I know what you mean!

Wll I do know what you mean but I don't understand the Boober and Mokey parings thing eather.

I think Boober & Mokey comes from the way they show affection toward each other in the show. Boober hugs on her every so often, usually in the throes of strong emotion, and she's been known to hug and kiss him too.

That said, I don't think that, at the time of the show, it was a sign that they were a couple, just that Mokey's naturally affectionate, and she's the only one who doesn't intimidate Boober into keeping his distance. Given their personalities, I could see them developing something later on. However, as we've never seen any evidence that Fraggles marry or even pair off as a norm, I see no need to have Mokey & Boober without the others.

Red & Gobo, on the other hand...in later life I think they will alternate between clashing antlers and joining forces. And when they're working together, they will be a force to be reckoned with. Anyone remember the famous slap-fight scene from Cheers?
  11. Gonzo's Hobbit Well-Known Member

Sorry I haven't seen Cheers, what's the scene about?
But I agree with you on everything else. I remember thinking that about Mokey, that she's more affectionate, a while ago but wasn't thinking of it in my last post so thanks for bringing it up:excited:
I think Gobo and Red are already like that now (series wise) That's one reason I like "The Challenge" so much. It show's how they're able to go from clashing antlers as you said to working together in point two seconds flat.

I looked it up, and as it turns out I mentally conflated two scenes, one in which they slap fight and another with the ending I mean. That kind of thing happens when I reference shows that I haven't seen for over 20 years.

Anyway, here's the scene, with arguing instead of slapping:

Sam: You are the nuttiest, the stupidest, the phoniest fruitcake I ever met!
Diane: You, Sam Malone, are the most arrogant, self-centered son-of-a—
Sam: Shut up! Shut your fat mouth!
    Diane: Make me!
Sam: Make you?... My God I'm, I'm gonna... I'm gonna bounce you off every wall in this office!
Diane: Try it and you'll be walking funny tomorrow... or should I say funnier?
    Sam
: You know... you know I always wanted to pop you one! Maybe this is my lucky day, huh?
Diane: You disgust me! I hate you!
Sam: Are you as turned on as I am?
    Diane: More!
    Sam: Bet me.
    [They kiss, fade to black]
Sam: Now I'm going to nibble on your ear.
Diane: Don't tell me you're going to nibble on my ear...

    Might be!

Well Jim Henson said that Mokey's the mother of the fraggle 5 and she cares about Boober like he is her own son.
Silly me I guess I got a little nuts.:)

Thought I'd share these vids I found. They have a lot of good ship moments. =3 Feel free to disagree with them but I think they're really sweet.

Ok if you're just talking about the show itself and not fan fics than I would say yeah Tosh, but in a story I once wrote about Boober was a made up charecter named Topsy. Seeing that no one really knows who this charecter is but me I won't enclude her.
As for what's listed in this topic I would have to say most likely Goldie beceause it fits in with the next chapter of the story after ' COA ' Parts 1-3 can be found here.
I still think Wembley and Lou would make a good couple reguardless of what I have read about them. Maybe not right away. I really don't think they had anything serious going on when they first met. I mean they liked each other and are good friends, but the ' romatic ' thing didn't start to deloupe till years later.
I do like this Melody charecter though maybe she can play rold in something else.

I'm still generic about the whole thing (meaning I think that the relationships are that of very good friend and not romantic) but I found another reason for why one might think there chemistry between Mokey and Boober. In "Boober's Dream" when Sidebottom's greeting all the fraggles he tells Mokey she looks ravishing. Since Sidebottom is essentially Boober's unspoken side it could be an indicator that he has feelings for her even if it's a little crush. It's a sweet little moment if anything.

    Do understand what's going on!

Hold on Ido understand what you meant about this.
But can you tell who Topsy is please?
I do like Goldie Fraggle from the fraggle from outer space and Melody from Melody's song as well.
  18. Collgoff Well-Known Member

    Sounds funny!

That really funny a little bit of funny like Ha Ha but more funny like werid.
    But that sounds pretty fair.

With no disrespect to anyone here, I'm really not a fan of fraggles being paired with original characters. 9 times out of 10, though there are some exceptions, the OCs are Mary Sues/Gary Stus and serve no other purpose.

I know it might seem too convenient or predictable but GoboxRed and BooberxMokey have a lot of evidence/scenes over the run of the show to back them up. Some might disagree with the pairings and that's perfectly fine, but there are some subtle hints here and there that can be picked up on.

I can understand where the Tosh and Boober support comes from but their relationship always felt sort of phoned in to me. Don't get me wrong, I have no grudge against Tosh. I think she is a very cute character, if a little underdeveloped. The problem is I don't understand why people ship her and Boober so adamantly. They have three eps total where they interact and it's only their last episode where Boober seems genuinely infatuated with her. It came pretty late in the game. What's also weird is that they never interact with each other again, nor does Boober ever bring her up post their duet. Because.......that's true love, right?

Although, I have to admit that WembleyxTosh might have been a cute pairing if the show ran longer. It would have been cool to see if they would eventually talk to each other and hit it off. They also seem closer in age. So...yeah, my two cents. =P

    Sounds pretty neat!
