....... and besides being in slightly bad taste today, what does this have to do with the Muppets ?

I'm selling my great auntie hilda's parrot - but i don't usually advertise on MC (although the temptation not to advertise livestock for sale here is sometimes too much)

Check to see if his feet are nailed to the perch. Always a _dead_ giveaway.

Another good way to check to see if its alive is to take it out of its cage and bang it on a counter. If its alive it will let you know very fast, and if its dead well heck, it won't feel it...

Often parrots that are pining for the fjords are mistaken for being dead. The Norwegian Blues are very prone to this.
