Just saw on the TV schedule that the Sesame Street special titled Gets Through A Storm will be on PBS tomorrow and Thursday.

The last time this aired was in November of 2012. Don't know too much about this, except that it may very well be just the street scenes from episodes 3976-3980 and that's it.

This special is airing on the PBS Kids sub-channel, not on the main PBS network. In our market, the special airs twice on Tuesday and twice on Thursday. Check local listings for times in your area.

If it's the same as the 2012 broadcast, it will be numbered as episode 4327 which begins the day after the hurricane. This includes most of the street scenes from 3977-3980. Episode 3976 isn't included, unfortunately. The 2012 broadcast showed the street scenes in their original 4:3 aspect ratio with widescreen opens and closes. It will likely be the same here as well.

Here's the 2012 version from YouTube.

Thank you Phillip for filling in the rest of the information for me.

I wasn’t really sure if all of the PBS channels were showing this or not, so I just put PBS.

I have a good feeling that it will most likely be the 2012 version.

Oh wow. So apparently, the special is indeed airing on the main PBS network after all because I just checked the guide again.

Watching this right now and it indeed included the Gordon introduction along with it being numbered as 4327 and original 4:3 aspect ratio with widescreen opens/closes.

So it's the same as the 2012 broadcast.

Cut scenes:

3977: Scenes 5 and it looks like 8 (?)
3978: Lea Salonga singing A Little Bit to a duck, all of scenes 5 and 7
