Edgier than the actual Muppet Show IMHO.

It does not seem edgier than the Muppet show, although I was not born when it came out so I have not seen it. It seems the joke is that the show is actually not edgy, just it's title.

In the beginning, they actually declare the show to mark "the END of sex and violence on television."
