Has anybody else experienced problems with silver lycra tarnising? I have used this to make Miss piggy's boots, gloves, collar, etc from her Pigs in Space outfit, and it is only about 5 years old and is tarnising.I have now noticed that my Tonner First Mate Piggy is also showing early stages of tarnising.
Does anybody know if you can get a silver paint that you could paint the lycra or otherwise know of a stretch material in silver that wont tarnish? I have the Nanco Gonzo tin man and he is still ok.
  2. I know the stuff you are talking about- I use to mend Puppets for a puppet theatre and found puppets where the silver/gold was basically broken down (or worn down) to the material underneath. I found there wasn't really anything I could do but recover it with the same material. Paint might eat away or look very "touched up". Sorry I couldn't help more.
