I'm making a Rizzo/Pepe type character. Original thread here

But where can I get some thin arm rods? To use wire or welding rods on such a small arm look way to thick. Does anyone know what type of rods they use for Pepe or Rizzo? They look almost invisible on the tv.

Alot of how the wires look "invisible" has more to do with framing and the colour of the wires (a character with brown fur will have brown or dark coloured rods) than the material they are made from. If you watch most Muppet shows carefully you'll notice that the shots are usually framed so that the arm rods are mostly out of the picture.

Here's the best solution I have found. Go to any home improvement center and take a look at 'Insulation Supports.' Here's a link to a site with a picture of them:

They are used to hold up fiberglass insulation on ceilings, as seen here:

They are thin and very strong. Works great!
I've used them for about a year.
