SST Outline : Rosita's Mariachi Band

Inspired by minor muppetz Sesame Street outlines, I decided to write my own. This one would take place in Season 30 with the sponsors being Y and 6.

Scene 1: Elmo and Telly see Rosita playing mariachi music on Maria’s radio. They find it so interesting that they want to play it. They set off to find their instruments.

• Film: Kids play “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” on ordinary objects
• Wish You Were Here: Guadalupe, Arizona
  Big Bird conducts a child mariachi band, who sings "Viva Mexico”.
• Cartoon: Pencil box: Y
• Film: A Y emerges from a pool

Scene 2: Elmo has taken up the bongos, Telly has the trumpet and Rosita plays her guitar. However, when they start playing, the music sounds off key and out of rhythm.

• Cartoon: The “Three Musicians” cooperate
• Grover takes photos of Mr. Johnson, but he keeps missing his face
• Cartoon: Rap #6
• Cartoon: Pinball Number Count #6

Scene 3: Telly and Elmo believe that their poor playing is because they’ve chosen the wrong instruments. They switch them, but to no avail.

• Animation: A yellow oblong creature visits a music store
• Film: What sound does a duck make?
• Cartoon: Jasper has lost his elbows!
• Film: Kids dance in 6 blocks
• Cartoon: Suzie Kabloozie judges the previous segment
• Song: “Do You Ever Want to See What Birdies See?”

Scene 4: Rosita believes that their problem is not the instruments, rather them selves. She suggests they cooperate and once they give it a try, they succeed at making sweet music.

• Ernie practices saying “hola”, annoying Bert in the process
• Song: Conga Counting Song
• Worms in Space: Y
• Cartoon: Animals dance an make a Y

Scene 5: With an audience consisting of Maria, Gabi, Big Bird, Stinky, Snuffy, Gordon, Alan and Miles, Rosita, Telly and Elmo perform their own mariachi song, “Together, We’re a Team” (yes this would be an original song). The song is well received and the monsters feel proud of themselves. Elmo leaves to feed Dorothy
