Y'know, once you start watching a Bob Ross episode on YouTube, you're like, "Oh, I'll just watch this for a minute or two" then you end up watching the whole hour long special because YOU JUST CAN'T STOP WATCHING HIM. THIS SHOW IS ADDICTIVE!

Well, the story goes that Bob Ross was a sergeant in the US Air Force during the 1960s. After barking at his men for years, Ross decided that if he ever left the military he would never raise his voice again. Hence, the famous whispery voice that we've come to know and love!

Bob can put you into a trance at the drop of a dime.
The one thing that always got me, he'd spend a good deal of time making all the happy little clouds, reflections of the lake, foggy mountains in the background, , looks so peaceful.
Then dip his biggest brush in the Van Dyke brown and say "Let's put a big ol' tree right here!" SPLAT!

Him, Jim Henson, Mr. Rogers. Three pillars of my childhood (although Bob came much later) who never raised their voice. My dad could've taken a page out of their books. 8)

    Van Dyke brown.
    Cadmium yellow.
    Phthalo blue.
    Sap green.
    Alazarin crimson.
    Titanium white.
    Yellow ochre.
    Sometimes Prussian blue.
All he needed to create a masterpiece in 22 minutes.
