Hello everyone. For those who may or may not know already, I am a Broadway finatic! I would have to say that it is definitely my second extreme obsession after The Muppets! I absolutely adore acting, singing, dancing, and whenever our family can fit it into our busy schedule, we try our best to take a trip down to "The Big Apple" to see a play.

So, I was just wondering, are there any other big musical fans out there who have had the pleasure to experience Broadway from an audience's view? What musicals have you seen, and which ones are your favorite? Do you have a favorite song from that production? Also, out of curiosity, what movie or book do you think would make a good performance on stage?

List of the Musicals I have seen:
-Wicked~ Favorite Numbers: What Is This Feeling and Defying Gravity
-The Lion King~ Favorite Numbers: I Just Can't Wait To Be King and Endless Night
-The Little Mermaid~ Favorite Numbers: Part of Your World and Poor Unfortunate Souls
-Beauty and The Beast~ Favorite Numbers: Home and Something There
-Annie~ Favorite Numbers: Maybe and Hard Knock Life

I need some extra time to brainstorm what I think would make an awesome addition to the stage, however. What about you guys?

I was pretty lucky, my family and I got to see a lot of Broadway shows when I was younger:

Secret Garden
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
My Fair Lady
Anything Goes
Crazy for You
Annie Get Your Gun
Jane Eyre
The Civil War
Pygmalion
A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart
Ring Around the Moon
The Scarlet Pimpernel
The Producers
42nd Street
Into the Woods
Spamalot
Young Frankenstein
The Lion King

Out of these my favorites are probably Scarlet Pimpernel, The Producers and The Lion King. I almost always have Scarlet Pimpernel on my iPod, lol. The audience for The Producers was so up and excited. I actually never liked The Lion King cartoon much but the Broadway show actually brought me to tears a couple of times.

The one I wish I could have seen was Cats, but thankfully my friend and I got to see it on stage elsewhere. We all got to sing along to the Mr. Mistoffelees song at the end, lol.

"Tomorrow", "Easy Street", "Little Girls" and "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile" from Annie
"Dance at the Gym", "Cool" and "America" from West Side Story
"Ya Got Trouble" and "76 Trombones" from The Music Man
"Opening Night", "When You've Got It, Flaunt It", "I Wanna Be a Producer" and "Betrayed" from The Producers
"A Spoonful of Sugar", "Step in Time", "I Love to Laugh" and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" from Mary Poppins

Back in 1984, I was the art editor of our high school literary magazine. Our English teacher/advisor was going to treat our staff to a Broadway show. We had a choice of "Little Shop of Horrors" or "Cats". I was stoked about seeing "Little Shop..", but unfortunately that fell through and we had to settle for "Cats".

Little did I know how much I was going to be blown away.
Every cast member was fantastic, but Mr. Mistoffelees' dance number literally left my jaw on the floor.

If I was only going to see one Broadway show, you can't do much better than this.

I have to say the one Broadway show that truly blew me away with its magic had to be The Lion King.
