This is my favorite episode, and it contains spoilers, so beware! :smirk:
Doc is up early in the morning, conducting his newest experiment; to see if there is life on the other side of the hole. Sprocket is just waking up, and as he pours himself some Corn Flakes, a swoopfoomer, which is a party whistle and it is the prize in the cereal, falls out.
Meanwhile, Gobo's going up to outerspace to see what adventure awaits him. Despite the fact he sees the silly creatures, he goes out anyway, and hides behind a tool box. Doc is bragging about how if this is a successful experiment, the scientific community will have to bow to him, not to mention Ned Shimmelfinny, who is at the doctors' office checking up on his asthma. But Doc says he'll be fine. As Doc goes to lift the tool box that Gobo is standing behind, he doesn't see Gobo at all! Sprocket does, however, and barks at Doc, telling him he's right in front of him...
Not wanting to fool around, Gobo dashes out of the workshop, wondering why the silly creature didn't see him. Then Wembley comes looking for Gobo with good news. Gobo firsts asks him if he's invisible, and Wembley says he doesn't think so. Then he tells his friend the good news; Cantus is coming back.
Cantus is playing a familiar tune as he enters the Great Hall, "Let Me Be Your Song" and then the others greet him. As Cantus is telling them he has a great new song for them, Gobo enters, trying to tell Cantus what just happens. Cantus brushes him aside, continuing to tell the others that this song that they will sing is the greatest of all the songs; it is the Song of Songs, but they cannot hear the Song of Songs without the Honk of Honks. Gobo tries to leave to go back to outerspace, when Cantus picks him to find the Honk of Honks. The Song of Songs will begin after the third snack. And with that, the first snacks, provided by Boober, are served.
Since he doesn't care about the stupid honk, he goes back. When he gets there, Doc is telling Sprocket that there is no life behind that hole While he's talking however, Gobo is doing what he can to get his attention by yelling at the top of his lungs. After he realizes that he can't see him, Gobo leaves. And as he gets back to the other side of the hole, Cantus is waiting for him in dissapointment, telling him to start finding th Honk of Honks.
Once he gets back, the second snack is being served. Gobo is told by Cantus that the Honk of Honks isn't that hard to find if you see when you look. Gobo then notices the Fraggle Horn, and thinks that's it. He blows on it, and then Cantus tells him that it's part of it, but not all of it. So Gobo goes to the Trash Heap to find something else that honks, and finds a "periscope" that belongs to Philo. After he hooks it up to the Fraggle Horn, he gives it another blow, and Cantus says, once again, that it's part of it, but not all of it.
At that moment, Cotterpin is driving by. Gobo figures it out; we're all apart of everything, and everything is apart of us. "Us" must mean Doozers...and Gorgs, too! After he picks up a Doozer construction that makes a honk from Cotterpin, Gobo goes to the Gorg's garden, and asks Junior if he has anything that honks. Junior suggests Ma's hair curler, and it honks as well!
As Gobo's getting back, the third snack is being finished. Just as Red is wondering where Gobo is, he shows up, hooks all the honking devices to the Fraggle Horn, and gives it one last blow. Sadly enough, that wasn't the Honk of Honks, and Cantus cancels the Song of Songs.
As Gobo is walking through the tunnels, feeling bad about letting everyone down, Cantus shows up. Gobo says he did everything he could, but it just wasn't enough. Then Cantus asks him what it was that had him all excited earlier. Gobo tells him about how the silly creature couldn't see him. Cantus says that both need to touch in order for them to see each other. He also says that you don't need your hands to touch, just as you don't need your eyes to see. Cantus then tells him to go back outerspace.
Just as Gobo enters the hole, Doc gets a phone call from Ned, with terribly sad news. Doc finds out that Ned has to move far, far away for his health, and Gobo hears all of this. After Doc hangs up the phone, he sits down and gets really upset that his best friend has to move. Gobo sees that he's losing his best friend...and he feels bad for him. Gobo reaches out to touch his hand to comfort him, and as Gobo says that it will be alright, Doc first hears, then sees him for the first time. Gobo finally figured it all out; we're all apart of everything, even the silly creatures. Gobo tells Doc that he's a Fraggle that lives behind the hole. Doc doesn't believe it! Gobo notices the swoopfoomer in Sprocket's dog pan, and asks Doc what it is, and Doc picks it up and blows on it. It honks! Doc gives Gobo the swoopfoomer, and before Gobo leaves, he tells Doc thanks for everything...
Gobo is rushing back to the Great Hall, hoping that Cantus hasn't left yet. As he enters, he sees everyone in the hall waiting on him. Cantus knew all along what was going to happen. After Gobo hooks up the last piece, he blows on the horn, and the noise is so fulfilling, that Fraggle Rock goes under a huge tremor. It's so loud, that the Trash Heap, Junior Gorg, Doc and Sprocket all hear it..."The Rock Goes On" is sung.
