The "I need a hug" thread

Yay for karma!!! My husband gets to hang up on people if they start cussing. It's one of the perks of his job he doesn't have to take it as opposed to retail.

I'm just having a really lousy day...I really need a hug...

and for just one person to not yell at me

Huh? Am I really supposed to hug him and feel sorry about Sarge? Oh well, he deserved a hug.

It still amazes me hugs/love/affirmation/support is something we all need, we all crave and desire, and some people still feel expressing a gesture like a hug (especially from one man to another) is interpreted as a sign of weakness.

Nothing can be further from the truth. Showing (or needing) affection does not make you weak, does not make you any less of a man, it's satisfying a very basic human need.

And if anyone ever needs a hug, my arms are always open. Walk-ins welcome.
