I've either written or am in the process of writing outlines for 14 of those names mentioned. Funny, I'd wager most people don't know that Peter Boyle could sing. Ditto Chevy Chase, who sang back-up for Carly Simon when she appeared on SNL.

Surprised no one mentioned Carly Simon, Carol Kane, Neil Diamond, Gordon Lightfoot, Alan Alda, or Peter Falk.

Certainly Elliott Gould would've done the show, methinks. Sammy Davis Jr. was doing all kinds of guest appearances around that time.

I also have a long list, but it's on my other computer. Many of my suggestions, some of them impossible, are in my fanfic TMS outlines, linked in my sig.

How about Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra?

I think they would've been better in the 70s version. I dunno about the 80s but, I dunno, that would be interesting to see too.

Here is my fantasy roster for a sixth season of The Muppet Show. Now, if there had been a sixth season, it would have spanned 1981-1982, so the stars here are from that "era" (for the most part... I might have slipped up with a couple).

Episode 601: Dick van Dyke
Episode 602: Angela Lansbury
Episode 603: Carole King
Episode 604: Tim Conway
Episode 605: Carrie Fisher
Episode 606: Tony Curtis
Episode 607: Bill Cosby
Episode 608: Shelley Duvall
Episode 609: Shari Lewis and Lambchop
Episode 610: LeVar Burton
Episode 611: Lucille Ball
Episode 612: Dolly Parton
Episode 613: Gregory Hines
Episode 614: Lily Tomlin
Episode 615: Vicki Lawrence
Episode 616: Mary Tyler Moore
Episode 617: James Earl Jones
Episode 618: Chita Rivera
Episode 619: Placido Domingo
Episode 620: Harrison Ford
Episode 621: Mary Steenburgen
Episode 622: Robin Williams
Episode 623: Christopher Lee
Episode 624: Gene Wilder

So, who would you add, subtract, or change?
I would love to see Tim Conway do something with The Muppets!

Hmmmmm.........I thought he did something with the Muppets, like a cameo in something. Eh, oh well, I think that would be a great episode too. Always was a Tim Conway fan.

Dorf was the BEST. I think that he was great on the Carol Burnett show. Although I enjoyed him more when they showed the old clips of the show. Oh man, were those really good.
