I am normally not one to complain about cover art on books, or DVD's, but I must say that I am getting so tired of the same old stuff being used. I mean come on there is a new movie coming out! Take some new pictures with different posers even just to promote the new movie.

But guys… look! It appears that Animal's picture was shot just for this occasion. You can see that his hair is drooping down because he is upside down. And it looks like a new Gonzo pic. If they could just replace the Kermit, this would be 79.3% better!

(By the way, generally all these Character Encyclopedias have white covers, so it's nothing new to me)

The cover is okay. The only truly objectionable photo is Kermit and I know why they use it. Aside from his flat head, it's a beautifully posed, shot and lit photograph. But of course, there's the glaring flat head. If they'd given him another photoshoot, he'd still probably have a flat or lifeless head. Even so, I'd much prefer something like this:
Or better yet, a pose with Steve's hand actually inside the puppet. What they really need is new photos!

Still, this is a colorful cover that gets the job done. I just know if this were my job, it would look froggin' spectacular!

I found some mock-up pages online, showing what to expect (though only parts are in English, most of them in other languages, and there seems to be repeat info that's obviously incorrect, like listing the first appearances of all charactters as "episode 102" and disliking "series 1").

Angel Marie and Angus McGonacle

Afghan Hound and Andy & Randy Pig

It looks like each character will get their own page (well, Andy and Randy share a page).

I think these could be kind of like a guide for what the other pages will look like. The facts on them are really not correct enough to be the actual pages.

Wow...I mean....just wow. Just the fact that they would include characters as obscure as this makes my jaw drop with happiness.

Might I ask where you found these?

I'm not sure that parts are in other languages. Looks to me like they are just random letters as place holders basically. I could be wrong. Likewise for the episode listing. I think they have the graphics portion done and need to write the copy for the pages. Look at the page for Afgan Hound. Under the smaller picture in the upper left it reads Caption Heading. Obviously not the real copy but a placeholder.

The Latin is placeholder text. It's standard when working with layouts to paste multiple copies of a few Latin phrases to show what the text will look like when they have the real content. These are just mockup pages.
