Ok this is something I thought would never mixed, but I found out that on Halloween night. The Muppets will be guest stars on World Wrestling Entertainment's Monday Night Raw program on Halloween.

I bet there will be something like Miss. Piggy hitting on John Cena, :). But this should be fun.

I don't know how many wrestling fans there are here, but I'm guessing you'll want to check it out for this one night, I know I will be...

Wait... Is this tonight? They'd already announced Hugh Jackman as the "special guest star", promoting the movie Real Steel. Thought they'd done away with the whole "guest star" bit once Triple H took over as COO, which IMHO was a good thing as it became a really overworn joke of what it once was two years ago.

Frankly, I smell something as I'm a bit dubius of Disney crossing over with WWE.
Sure, there've been Muppet references in the past like the sign someone mentioned of Seamus = Beaker and the time Santino Morella uttered The Amazing Mumford's catch phrase during the episode with Chris Angel as "guest star". But I'm invoking a "skeptical: on this until further notice.

I got the info from the WWE's offical website (not some "wrestling rumor mill" website), Count, so I'm pretty sure it should be legit.

And it's on Halloween night Oct 31, 2011, not tonight, still a month awhile, so yeah...I'm reporting early on this, :). But I figured my fellow Muppet lovers would like to know about it.

Okay, thanks. Hopefully whatever PPV they go with for October, either 7734 in a Cell or Bragging Rights takes place earlier towards mid-month so I can tune in the following night and get the results, because as much as I'm a fan of both Muppets and follower of WWE, I just can't process the crossover possibility. Especially for the Halloween 2011 MNR episode. Now that's truly :scary:

Yeah, it's pretty odd crossover, I'll admit to that, but I for one am totally looking forward to it,

When i think Halloween and Muppets, i think of Muppet monsters...maybe Sweetums will have a wrestling match with a Mutation...

Kermit already appeared on a Wrestling show... my favorite one, actually...

Look in the lower right hand corner... that Kermit mask. It's far too Kermit looking to be a co-incidence. Still, I wonder if that pig with blond hair mask is supposed to be Piggy.

Yeah but this will Kermit and the Muppets make a true appearence, not just a cartoon mask, :).

But I was thinking about this again last night, I do hope that night WWE doesn't have an audience of "smarks who only want "real" wrestling," cause if so they might boo the Muppets out of the building and I honestly would hate to see that. Hopefully, they can enjoy the Muppets humor interacting with the WWE wrestlers (or Superstars as WWE wants them to be called).

I'd guess they'll go down the route of Muppets dressed up as Halloween characters, they could have Sweetums at ringside i guess lol. It is a very odd mix, but WWE has a massive audience and the Muppets are considered quite cool. I can see it being mostly pre-recorded VT's.

Somehow it seems the thing would be cooler if the wrestlers dress up as Muppets when they were in the ring.

I dunno why, but... I know I once saw a Japanese wrestling match where the fighters were dressed up like characters from famous Wrestling anime (Kinnikuman and Tiger Mask at least)... imagine if we had the same stuff over here.... wrestlers dressed up like various American Super Heroes.

Well, Rey Mysterio did dress up as a Mexican homage to Captain America for his match against Cody Rhodes back at WM 27 this past year.

...and it IS Halloween when people dress up as other things anyway...hmm...

I'd love to see someone dress up as Uncle Deadly...not only because he's got a good part in the movie and would be a cool looking costume, but that is such a great wrestler name!

The only thinking I'm thinking for sure is there will be a segment with Beaker and wrestler Shemus, since many have pointed that they look a like.

For anyone who has seen they did have mention it on WWE raw tonight...

I have to admit, even though I'm looking forward to it. There is a part of me that's a little nervous, like I said, I would hate to see the fans who consider themselves "hardcore wrestling fans" boo my beloved Muppets.
