I imagine so, because Gobo sings "If I had a chicken stew" when he's singing about the Grapes of Genoristy, and in the Pantry Chant in You Can't Do That without a hat they mention macoroni, chicken chop suey, and stroganaff. I wonder how they know about those foods. Maybe Uncle Matt mentioned them in a postcard that wasn't on the show?

I don't really know about that!
They just put the words into a song, it happens all the time.

True since in the same song Gobo sings "If I had a kangaroo,", but he and Gobo refer to them as the pouched creatures in Uncle Matt's Discovery, and Gobo didn't recongnize them at first.

    Don't you mean hopping creatures?

Let me see of course Matt is an extremly popular Fraggle being an explorer in Outer Space, especially with Madame Storyteller. ;)

My favorite is Gobo, however Red is probably the current most popular because of being the Hub's Fraggle Rock Mascot.

I don't know who is my favorite fraggle is, I like a quite a few of them. Gobo, Wembley, Red, Mokey, Boober, Cantus, and Convincing John are the main fraggles that I like. But truly, there really isn't a character in Fraggle Rock that I don't like, well, besides Wander McMooch, I really don't like him.

Popular among the fraggles themselves, I'd have to say Cantus. The whole colony seems to enjoy when Cantus and the Minstrels come to town. Besides, he always brings with him music, songs, a party, and insight words(if you can figure out the meaning of them.)

Popular among the silly creatures, I'd have to say Red gets the most publicity.

I agree with that. Red is a very athletic Fraggle, and given our athletic oriented society (I am not that athletic myself, and I don't want to insult anyone, but if I do, I am really sorry) it makes sense that Red is very popular.
