i went antiquing today.

What exactly is the definition of antiquing again? Shopping for antiques? Selling antiques? Deeming things antiques? Turning the age where you're considered an antique?

Hunting around in dusty overpriced shops full of old things, some of which might possibly have some value to them still. Yet it can be fun. Especially haggling if you know precisely how old and rare (or not) something is.

I got a small raise, scheduled vacation time with pay, and picked up a new client WITHOUT dementia. And I have Americone Dream Ben & Jerry's in the freezer.

It IS fun! You can find the most random things sometimes. I sometimes get really distracted thinking about the kind of circumstances that might have landed that particular object in the shop....how many hands did it pass through....what kind of life it was a part of...etc.

I found out about my grade on my junior project and I got a perfect score!!!!! I'm so proud and feel even more proud because I did my project on Jim Henson and I had two Muppet video clips in my power-point XD

Thanks Oh man, I'd love to! I did my presentation once in front of my teacher and my class, then for the teacher that graded me who I didn't know and 23 students I didn't know, and finally in front of the history supervisor at school and a whole bunch of board members from around the school district.

Actually in a good mood for a change. My new client, whom I had my first session with today, is really, really cool: old hippie chick who did concert lighting, and is a pro nature photographer. I spent the afternoon unpacking boxes of books and vinyl and getting them stowed on shelves for her, and was delighted to find she had the original vinyl of the Muppet Movie soundtrack (same one I had before my whole LP collection was destroyed by a malicious air conditioning unit). SOOO nice to finally have a cool client!

I got the results of my written exmas today. To put it bluntly, I passed

My contract with the SEC was renewed, so I'll be working there another year.

Our laptops usually have the ability to change the background blocked (surprise, surprise), but after plugging it into a projector the other day, mine came back (it's the Rainbow Connection performance from the new movie and it's awesome).

Yayyyyy! *flails arms wildly*

Cool, I got called in for a final interview at this job that sounds really cool. So that's nice. What's not so nice is I think I know what they want in the job but I'm still afraid that if I get it (which would be cool) there's going to be something to it that I missed initially which will make it not so cool.
