Because the titles of my threads are always edited/changed anyway

Am I imagining thing, or has practically every single commercial on TV been re-dubbed?

I think it's cause alot of them come from Britain (and I guess the people in charge don't think that americans can understand things that aren't 100% american ). 'Cause I get some american channels, there was a recent commercial that had english accents on some channels and american accents on other channels. I think it was for the Oreo wafer sticks.

No, I mean like the entire dialogue has been completely re-recorded.

Like ever notice how completely different this sounds now...

WIFE: What else does box say?
HUSBAND: Box says "Shut up, Steve".

Even today, I saw one of those Airwick commercials with that mama octopus, and her voice and dialogue sounds completely re-dubbed.

I doubt these commercials come from England... I mean, the Geico Gecko still has his new Australian accent.

The shut-up steve one IS one that is from England! I've seen both versions!

However, I should correct myself; in the Oreo one they're actually Australian. Realised that I wrote the wrong thing after it was too late to edit my post. ><

Also, Snowthers, the Geico Gecko being Australian doesn't mean the commercial is from Australia; that one is a gimmick done by the company on purpose so it's not the same situation at all.

I saw the octopus mom commercial today, and it sounded like the original recording this time.

I'm surprised the title of this thread hasn't been edited already.
