(Cold Opening) Scooter runs into Kermit's office.

Scooter: Hey chief! How'd you feel about a show in which Little Chrissy and The Alphabeats and little Jerry and the Monotones face off in a battle of the bands?

Kermit: Not too much.. you see I'm working on tonight's one with Hallie Berry and she's cancelled. I'm trying to get Joyce Brothers.. she's always available..

Scooter: Well.. uh.. the thing is, you don't have a choice… my Uncle has.. well already okayed the idea…so..

Kermit: Sigh! I guess I have no choice then…

It's the Muppet Show, with special guests Little Chrissy, and Little Jerry..
(opening theme.. Gonzo in the O plays his trumpet, when a little note pops out and says Joe's Music repair)

Kermit: We have a special treat for you tonight…

Statler: What? The theater's closed for repairs? Dwoah ho ho ho ho!!

Kermit: Uh.. I'll pretend I didn't hear that.

Waldorf: Yeah.. should be easy when you have no ears!

Kermit: Tonight, Little Chrissy and Little Jerry are competing in a battle of the bands, and you will vote for your favorite band who performs tonight. So without any further ado.. our opening number!!!

SONG: Little Chrissy, with two alphabeats, and Sweetums sing Count it higher in an American Bandstand setting. The inside joke is that one of the singers upstages Sweetums just before he can open his mouth to sing his part. Sweetums pushes him away, and the second time he does it, he kicks him off the stage.

Statler: On a scale of one to ten, what do you rate this show?

Waldorf: It doesn't even weigh in.

Song: Little Jerry and the Monotones sing "Telephone Rock" Much like on Sesame Street, but Mildred Huxtetter is the opperator, and Link Hogthrob is the police officer.

(Grover, in his Clark Kent disguise pops out of the balcony) Hello there. Are they doen with that phone booth?
Statler: Why?

Grover: (pauses and looks around) oh.. no reason (he leaves and the Super Grover end music plays.

Swedish Chef: The Chef prepares his recepie for clams casino…he takes clams and puts them one by one into a slot machine, twice he gets a missmatch, and the third time he gets three lemons. He knocks the machine over, and puts the last clam on a roulette wheel. He wins, and large clams fall from the sky.. on his head.

Backstage: The Monotones and Alphabeats try to see if they can bribe Kermit for the outcome of the show. Kermit tells him that they can't (and adds to the camera, that it's off character). Little Chrissy and Jerry show up.

Chrissy: For shame! Trying to fix the outcome of the contest. (to Kermit) you can't can you (Kermit nods his head). Of course not! Good for you!

Meanwhile, Sal rushes in angrily, followed by Johnny Fiama coming in slowly, and nonchalant. Sal starts yelling at Kermit and asking why Johhny can't compete.

Johnny: Sal! What have I told you about that rock and roll music? That Commie stuff rots your brains.

Sal Leaves. We cut away to Sal's room, which has three walls of Johnny Posters, and one wall with Muppet versions of Elvis, the Beatles, Roy orbison, etc. He immediately tears them down and turns to the camera and says, "Hey.. if it's what Johnny wants…"

Song: Jerry and the Monotones, dressed up like Medeval knights sing the Monkees version of "I'm a believer, " while various Muppets try in vain to opperate a puppet dragon.

Statler: I thought love was only true in fairy tales, too.

Waldorf: It is… every fairy tale needs a wicked witch… (Astoria pops out and smacks Waldorf with a purse)

Song: Little Chrissy and the Alphabeats play Judy in the sky (no confusing it with the Beatles' Lucy in the sky with diamonds) while Judy (a green AM with really thick glasses) bumps into everything, and causes the backgorund settings to fall. Chrissy still plays, and at the end, takes off her glasses.

Waldorf: Didin't YOU used to wear glasses?

Statler: What? And watch this show?

Backstage: Both bands decide to take a break, while the back up singers (the Alphabeats and Monotones) go to the canteen for something to eat. Unfortunately, thee chef serves them his Clams Casino, by Pulling the crank on a giant slot machine, and hundreds of clams come out.

UK Skit: Bear on Patrol. Fozzie investigates the strange disapperence of anyone wearing blue.. before his disappears himslef.

Backstage: The monotones and Alphabeats fall ill, and they cannot perform the closing number with their respective groups. Fearing backlash from either Chrissy or Jerry, Kermit asks the Electric mayheim to fill in and perform as back up.

Dr.Teeth: No way! We only perform our glorious melodies for no none but us.

Floyd: Yeah, man. You can't buy us off at any price.

Janice: Like what are we doing it for?

Kermit: I''ll give you a cheese sandwich!
(the group huddles and agrees. You can hear them mumbling over each other. Animal yells, "SANDWICH, SANDWICH!" While Janice says, "Like make mine organic soy cheese, okaaay?" Zoot says, "What's going on, did I miss something?")

Skit, Pigs in Space: The Spaceship swinetrek is overrun by evil space robots made out of papper towels. TO make matters worse, Link spills a dangerous chemical that Strangepork made ("Why did you make it?" "It seemed like a good idea at the time. Leats I didn't know you vould spill it! ") and he has no idea how to clean it up. Piggy and Strangepork tell him to use the robots, but he doesn't listen. Then it burns a hole in the floor, and they all get sucked out.

Song: Little Chrissy and Little Jerry (backed up by the Electric Mayheim) sing a dueling version of the Beatles' "Hello Goodbye." During the number, Animal sings most of the background courus of "HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO! HELLO GOO'BYE! HELLO GOO'BYE!!!"

Kermit then rushes on stage and gives the results of the contest. "And the winner is… THE ELECTRIC MAYHEIM?!?!?"

Floyd: Well, green stuff. You DID say whatever band performed tonight would win. We did perform? Did we not?

Little Chrissy and Jerry leave in disgust.

End theme

Statler: What do you think of Rock' n' Roll.
Waldorf: Whatever, as long as we can rock and roll out of here.

Zoot plays the last note, but a whloe bunch of clams come out

End.

I loved the regular features best, especially PIS with the robots made of paper towels! That's great, very original!

This is one of the best I've read! To me, the best sketch was the Swedish Chef's attempt to have himself a good old clambake "Las Vegas" style. Not only that, but to use it as a running gag was a stroke of brillance. Loved the guest stars, particularly the performances of "Count It Higher" and "Telephone Rock". Can't wait to see what you clever scripters have in store for us eager fans. Keep up the excellent work.
